BUT SAying that.... I think someone or many may see (just like you, creating this WHAT IF) - IMAGINATION IS THE KEY.... everything u see around u was imagined at some point :) so Wheres our generation's John lennon"? I think being 23 in us all our imagination or the reality we make :) - it just seems to be lacking or used to create 'pop idiol realities' ...

It would be great if he was alive and ran for president but he would NEVER do that or THEY wouldnt let him - fact is, as much as im a fan of his songs and words (however idealistic they were) I do admire anyone who basically had a hard upbringing, no mum or dad. ANGRY - but turned that Anger into, lets say passionate peace...

Times are not as idealistic as back then (saying that im just 23) and if this is 'my' generation thats one point i doubt there ever will be someone just like him...

Love John, Do not buy for pone second that people are any different today than they have ever been Look at the list of US military involvements and you will it is business as usual. Yes we had a great counter-culture but we still have one today, people could argue the 60s were all about hedonistic involvement and expression. I am hoping for this generation to speak. We need john here but he can never come back. We need people like john to have that 60's mentality. No iphone or laptop will ever fix any problems. The 60s-70s generations realized that they could do something make a difference and music/media mainstream helped that. All this generation has is a bunch of self obsessed musicians singing about their money and cars. its a shame...

As bad as that as that sounds, I completely agree with your comment. They're aren't any real clear motivaters in rock anymore. No one really has the "balls" to speak up, for fear of a negative out pouring. It is sad, that no one has conviction that John had. He knew some people thought he was nuts, but still did things to draw attention to the cause. Their are just too many manufactured pop idols these days.

I thin you´re right, but I think we need to theach this kind of videos and expressions, explain them o the kids, I think we are hellping even posing this kind of videos, which I think make us believe in hope, make us believe in a leader that may be ded in fisicall world, but he is not ded in our minds.....

Sad that all we have no real role models anymore. I completely agree with John's logic. The thing is, I believe it is not to late to fight for these things, even if it is posting a view, like I did with this video.
