  • It's a put on.

  • Sound is out of sync.

  • What makes me mad is that people get pissed that youth know great songs because of a game, show, movie, etc.. Just be glad they aren't listening to some of the trash thrown out onto the media these days.

  • @bobfromspeedway1 Don't worry about, Bro. All kinds of stuff can be taken away and eroded.. What can't be taken away is how cranked up this song makes me feel!!!

  • I thought something wasn't right with this song for a second. Then I realised I didn't have my sub-woofer on. That's better! Mmm..... bathing in bass....

  • my boyfriend was in a high intensity cooler keeping it together temperatures burning in his head (and people forget to let the beauty of the sun shine through) rainbows freeze in his mind. when he thinks of the front- time with me is a put on the two of us a front-but he thought we could make a front put the buildings on- join the party, kill the castles and join the sky where the sun shines. that was the plan i think.

  • @egurzi wtf, that made no sense whatsoever

  • The drinks flow People forget.. That big wheel spins, the hair thins People forget Forget they're hiding... The news slows People forget The shares crash, hopes are dashed People forget Forget they're hiding Behind an eminence front * Eminence front - it's a put on *

  • This is my song when im on my motorcycle an in life

  • Listened to this song on my homemade speakers with Eminence woofers! (Gamma 15") The woofers sound great and are made in the USA in Eminence KY.

  • GTA San Andreas... this song is absolutely associated with the game in my mind!

  • thumbs up if you came here because you grew up listening to your dads radio station

  • @stan3 THIS is the definitive Eminence Front video. Whe you reach your million, I'll drink a toast to you in honor of your well deserved celebration!

  • @stan3 This is my favorite who song. We'll get to a million!

  • The only Who song i'd listen to without Keith

  • @tomazco The Who without Keith Moon is like a person without arms

but sometimes people without arms surprise us.

  • @KillerToyMachine It's true, like the drummer of Def leppard!

  • @tomazco hell yeah Rick Allen!

  • The Who existed before there were video games.

  • @Quintimojo or lame crime investigation tv shows, for that matter

  • @Quintimojo I was a big fan of The Who before GTA San Andreas came out, but I had never heard this one by them. Is it so bad that the first time I heard this song and loved it came from a great video game?

  • @Quintimojo Can't play this track loud enough . It is simply AWESOME !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @evilemperordude I had no idea that they had video games at that time.

  • @Quintimojo Wrong... The Who: 1964. The first video game: Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device 1947. And chess video games were also invented in 1947...

  • @b1ue2211 When I said video games I meant before GTA whatever number it was. Talk about splitting hairs. (Looking through a Family Photo) Oh wait, there's Grandpa and the whole neighborhood playing the ever-popular Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device! It's as fun to say, as it is to play! Jack Ass. :P

  • @Quintimojo liar

  • @Quintimojo ummm. the first known video game was made in 1947

    the who formed in 1964

  • @Quintimojo and why does it really matter if they were around before video games? because i have heard of the who long before i played GTA San andreas, but i just found this song because of it, and had no idea it was the who.... it doesnt make you any better because we found a song or a band from a game, and you didnt

  • I want this song to play every time I walk into a room.

  • Cheers if you came here because you know great music when you hear it and not because of some silly game!

  • Musical influence from my uncle brought my here. When I was 10, we would drive around in his Camaro with this blasting.

  • The Who.

    People forget. ;(

  • aliens from andromeda would move to this

  • train kept a rolling all night long....connection? my name is wagon not wag -evelyn

  • waooooo!! very very nice song...

  • I absolutely love the non-sync elements. Somehow so appropriate to freestyle encouragement. Leave it just the way it is! These guys hate each other. You can see it in the video. They come together, reassemble from their disparate lives and go to work. And they are craftsman, especially on this song. It all comes together despite themselves. This is The Who at their finest moment: workmen who have latched onto rock at its most egotistical frontage in a machine of doing its job! We get blown away.

  • hmm i never knew pete sung this song

  • I do literally everything to this song

Even when I'm sleeping or taking a dump.

That's how badass this song is

  • Looks like someone forgot to do a little video sync offset... cough... noob... cough

  • Snow packs. Hmm. Cocaine is the eminence front. It doesn't last as long as this song. It's a put on. Use mind to r e m e m e m b e r your highest moment. Then reissue that as your goal, without the bogus temporal vehicles that got you there. Within you is the ability to enjoy it all on your own, independent of catalysts and times that have long since past and since hold no meaning. Value and truth transcend. Then you will be at where you need to be for eternity.

  • if have to asked!!! Fuck You

  • Thumbs up if you love The Who AND San Andreas :D

  • i only play pes so fuck you

  • @ColdplayJames who cares

  • That groove with the synth, drum, and bass is awesome!

  • @ColdplayJames I don't even remember this being in GTA. Which one?

  • I eat steak to this song.

  • i saw the WHO in the superdome in new orleans about the time this album came out..........man, they were awesome............they blew the roof off the superdome.......goood times.....

  • I always loved The Who.

  • Great video and amazing tune - but the sound ain't so good... :o(

  • Hey..guys....Movie---"Law abiding citizen",Actor in jail...when he enjoy his beefsteak...right?....

  • You made this? How? How did you get this footage?

  • Is that John Entwhistle on the bass, or a later bassist ??

  • @goindownthe1road it's him but you mistyped the name a bit :D John Entwistle

  • One of the first times Roger played guitar that I remember, plus this track had the at least the THIRD best synth programming on it (with "Baba O'Riley" batting first, and "Who Are You" coming in a close second.)

  • @ColdplayJames I Remember when this first aired on MTV

  • There was talk of this being the theme tune for a CSI show set in London but it never materialised... pity

  • I always thought they said "Do you like it in the butt" lmao

  • The greatest rock band of all time.

  • @forfaka You must have accidently clicked on a Who video while looking for a Rolling Stones video.

  • @ AlwaysRussian

The late John Entwistle played with an Alembic Explorer 4-strings bass. He was a fantastik bass player.

  • anyone notice the words dont match the faces at some points

  • excellent !!

  • thumbs up if you came here because you love The Who and not because of a stupid video game!

  • sad that this song is known because of a stupid video game!

  • @jeffgordonadi24 i know it's gta sa lol but this is best game

  • Could anyone PLEASE determine what kind of bass was used at 02:29? It sounds amazing :D

  • They all have their jackets on. Lathered in leather. Are they chilly or is it an eminence front?

  • @pheggie It's good you know the meaning of the song. (No sarcasm intended)

  • heroin, even if not a put-on / people forget-eminence front / it's a put-on

  • Thumbs down, punks.......I saw the Who in concert and remember them from the 1960's.

  • Killer tune. Pouring down the road in your muscle car (mine's an '05 Mustang), music cranking just enjoying life. Does it get any better? Rock On!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks GTA SA for letting me discover this song :D thumbs up if u agree!

  • @Lworld63 you can shove them thumbs right up your arse sugar.

  • @Lworld63 Yes this song is from GTA sa

But stop ask for thumbs up

  • Oh, and thumbs up if you're getting finger printed for speeding and disorderly conduct while chasing the police after they chased you first while listening to this song.

  • Thumbs up if you're a Roman emperor granting a prisoner his life (that must have been a relief). Thumbs up if you have licked it (and want to test the wind direction). Thumbs up your ass (if you've got nothing better to do). Thumbs up if you want to light a cigarette (classic comedic imagery). Thumbs up if you're Schwarzenegger sinking into a molten vat of metal (melting the last chip). Thumbs up if you're hitch hiking! (you kinda have to in that case). Thumbs up if you just liked this Who song.

  • gta clasiccc

  • eat in steak bone

  • I remember when this video was on MTV in 1982. It was actually my favorite version of the song. Kudos for uploading, -1 for replacing the audio. Should have left the original audio track.

  • Did Keith Moon really record this track? I find it very unlike him... Too simple. So simple, but incredibly effective. I'm a drummer who knows his style, and it just doesn't seem like it could be him. Can anyone help me with this? I really enjoy Keith's playing, It's one of my favorite Who songs.

  • @drmr007 keith was LOOOOOOOOONG dead when this song was made

  • @drmr007 keith was LOOOOOOOOONG dead when this song was made... you can see drummer kenny jones in the video

  • @noideabar Thank you so much!

  • @drmr007 Kenny Jones on drums. Small faces drummer and long time friend of the Who.

  • Magic !!! San Andreas Forever !!!

  • DALLAS MAVS INTRO MUSIC

  • 28 people fail at enjoying life

  • I wanna work for Rockstar's sound entertainment

  • Have you ever noticed that this IS the background music to whatever might be going on? Speed of life? Carry on with our wayward selves. This beat goes on unflinchingly, inevitably, inexorably, relentlessly, pushing onward. It rides a crest that rises above whatever details surface and drowns it out in a bigger tidal surge, driving toward the shore and coming back for more. It's the music itself! It's even bigger than The Who. It gathers up the band members, the audience, everything, in its wake.

  • Two Roger Daultrys Mashed Together = Ric Flair. WOO

  • Two Roger Daultrys Mashed Together = Ric Flair. WOO

  • @Jankovic21412 Actually, it's Kenney Jones. Kenny Rogers is a country ballad singer.

  • @flaneur75 So deadpan. Nice delivery. There's is always a magic turmoil within this comment party. Thanks for setting things straight for everyone. People forget!

  • That isn't Keith Moon on the drums.

  • @anthnymnty This song was made after Keith Moon died in 1979.

  • @anthnymnty

    It's, actually, Kenny Rogers.

  • Anyone else notice that none of these band members seem to trust or even like each other, but still kick out the music, like it's their personal job, like going to the office and getting some great, professional project done? Then I imagine they return to their individual, disparate lives. Like machine parts coming together, then probably disassembling 'til next time. Maybe that's kinda healthy. It must have worked for The Who, anyway. Let's get this gig done and go home. "Again next week, pal."

  • The outta sync makes you think! Love this just the way it is, audibly and visually. This is no time to be exactly right. This is appreciation of Eminence front. People forget. It's a put on! Just come and join the party and enjoy the groove.

  • this is the only song by the Who that I like. Discovered this via Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. K-DST!

  • @zeppelincheetah haha I cant think of this song without thinking of las venturas!

  • who is at 0:34

  • @Skaternick911 Roger Daltrey.

  • This is from the 80s. Pete Townsend sang lead lyrics quite often - Check out Quadrophenia.

  • Love the sweet Van their riding in.

  • ill stab another man to this

  • Kenny Jones on drums-who was one of Pete's drinking buddies. Roger never wanted to replace Moon with any one drummer and did not want to make Jones an equal band member.

  • friggen gorgeous. I heard this while driving thru the summer mountains of Utah today. The massive Wasatch Front presenting itself before my unworthy eyes. Breathtaking...

  • the who made the best intros. Especially this song, Baba O'riley and Teenage Wasteland

  • @Guronnimo "Baba O'riley and Teenage Wasteland"

    IT'S THE SAME SONG!

  • @ThePropolina i meant won't get fooled again

  • wonder how keith moon would have interpreted this song...I do like this song a lot but makes me wonder

  • Forget the name of this song somehow, had to look at my San Andreas instruction manual to remember.

  • I absolutely love this song!! One of the best!

  • at just after 2:23 , they say eminence front - front ?

  • Two words-Steak Dinner

  • Yeah, this is what I need.

  • i saw them 3 times and they were great..showmen!

  • I know I'll get abuse for this but this is the Who's best song. Just an awesome song.

  • @tevisman Your right!!

  • 1.Its great that you got some footage of their recording but argh its out of time!

    2.San Andreas is the best

3.Roger looks a bit like a gay porn star elf in this video (not that i know what that looks like)

    Enough said.

  • Quintessential song for the 80's.

  • This appears to be the original version released in 1982. I say this because of the timing error in the first chorus, where Townsend sings "behind an eminence front". I wonder if this recording was made from vinyl or can I get this on CD?

  • I'm like crashing this dooda. It's an eminence front! Put on! Come and join the party. Dress to kill: You might as well enjoy yourself. Look at all the time you're going to have to spend with you (thank, you, Buddy Love). People forget the shares crash. It's when you feel good and jam to a good tune that life matters. It don't matter how you get there. But get there! Sometime you better groove, enjoy your life. Yeah there's suffering and iniquity, always. But a time to shine fine, is a must too!

  • DALLAS MAVERICKS BASKETBALL BABY! 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
