@dponeill2004 It's a beautiful instrument. Very sweet and mellow, so if you're a fan of Bela Fleck and want to try to play any of his kind of music, you should be well equipped.
One thing I have noticed, though, is that the compensated bridge, which is made of the same submerged water-aged "old wood" as the rim, tends to lean forward a lot, to the point of actually falling forward once or twice which produces a gunshot-like sound.
This may be because I set the tailpiece very low to the drumhead.
Thanks very much! Look (and listen) carefully at his solos - this is an iconic intro lick which has become part of the song, but this basic pentatonic pattern is a nice and convenient way to end many up-the-neck solos.
He uses this pattern, modified in appropriate ways, fairly often.
