Boy, I listen to this now, & my playing sounds really rough on this one! I'll have to redo it sometime, if I ever get with it & get a digital camera/camcorder/whatever...
By the way - the bass I'm playing here is a Silvertone - got it used off craigslist for $75 with a drive bass amp! (I'm playing thru a 15wt crate bass amp.) I like it more than my P-Bass I've played for over 30 years!
bassandguitarguy, congrats on your very first video! You overcame the problem of the dvd not being the right format for YouTube, you got it converted properly, and your video is playing successfully!
I enjoyed your bass playing very much. What I like about your video is that everyone can easily see your fingers playing the frets and picking the strings with the pick. Sounds great!
I'm looking forward to your future videos. Good job. 5 Stars!
So here's the story - I'm playing the bass here in my living room. I'm techno stupid and not on line at home. Did this vid on an old 1993 camcorder, burned to DVD, took to a friend's place. You tube didn't recognize the format, so we had to download(upload?) some conversion software?
There were 11 songs on the dvd. the software only loaded 2. I didn't know this tune was the one being uploaded till it was on youtube.
This was take one. Uggh! So I'll have to do more another day.
Wrong fingering boy! Some them live and he plucked his fender with his ring and middle fingers... No pick! The sound is also tube!

Couldn't you have picked a song with a little more variety instead of the same notes over and over
