  • He's sooooo cute!!! <3

  • he looks sooo like tom gabel

  • he's such a babe, it's killing me.

  • he makes my day.

  • i love brian fallon, i love his music!

  • "but it worked out okay, didnt get aids." hahaha

this guy is fucking awesome. so chill and writes ridiculous music.

  • Why would Brian Fallon sound Irish? He's from New Jersey. His family may be of Irish ancestry, but that has nothing to do with an accent. Your accent comes from where you grow up. I come from German and Irish ancestry but I sound clearly like I come from Pennsylvania. I had someone in Jamaica ask me if I was from Northern Pennsylvania, so yeah, it's pretty evident.

  • which fucker disliked this video? he must be retarded

  • Brian, you are just an incredible musician and an even more incredible person! Thank you for being such a humble, nice, down to earth guy.

Jaydischord, thanks for uploading this! :)

  • now it makes sense why american slang's 'boxer' is so clashesque! nice fred perry polo.

  • @animatorskater Never listened to I'da call ya Woody, Joe?

  • mike hsb - he's from redbank, nj, usa

  • Pretty fitting seeings as the gaslight anthem IMO are the most important band since the clash!

  • my first tattoo was bouncingsouls too! great minds think alike!

  • LOL didnt get aid

  • haha why are people arguing about what his accent sounds like?? Sounds like a Jersey accent to me. Oh.. what? Thats weird, he's from New Jersey.

  • finally a sane person!

  • I'm from New Jersey, and I can attest to that. It sounds fucking normal.

  • Im definitely from what could be considered "oregonflatland" and im not moronic.

  • haha this guy is funny. really chill. i chatted with him for quite a bit when Gaslight performed in calgary

  • I know what you mean there is something irish about his voice

  • he sounds very american...

  • Ya, I'm Irish & I don't detect any Irish accent thing going on there?! My neighbours are Fallons though!

  • he said that the bouncing souls tattoo thats on his leftt arm was his first tattoo ever. then he said that the strat was the first on that arm? that doesn't make sense. or am I mistaken?

  • I think hes referring to the first tattoo on his Forearm or possibly his first Clash tattoo on that arm

  • ahh, good call.

  • Brian Fallon is my hero. I just got "No Retreat> No Regrets." Tatted on my wrists. Gaslight forever.

  • coming from belfast, northern ireland - brian fallon does not sound irish at all

  • Again, thank you...real Irish folk(Northern and Republic) setting things straight.

  • @MikeHSB thats because hes from new jersey in america

  • he's from New Jersey.

  • wow he is brilliant, I am irish, he just sounds american to me although his dad is irish i think

  • EXACTLY....thanks mate,as you probably read below these yanks think they know it all,im English and spent 30+ years growing up/working with Irishmen and know damn well what the accent is.Thanks for putting it out there straight from the horses mouth. And yes,he obviously has Irish heritage, hence the name 'Fallon' but people are not BORN with a 'kin accent.

That said i couldn't care less but it turned into a nonsensical 'debate' on if he sounds Irish or not, clearly doesn't.Cheers.

  • Hey now, don't talk about all of us yanks, we're not all is moronic as oregonflatland

  • haha, "We're not all AS moronic as oregonflatland"

  • east coast irish accent. i feel like we're from different countries.

  • He doesn't sound Irish in any way what so ever....just US east coast.

  • he sounds 100% irish american. watch the movie Black Irish. i studied linguistics in grad school i know exactly what i'm talking about.

  • Yes,Irish American, not Irish....his accent is 'American' not Irish,i detect no Irish, just US East coast....which is exactly what i said to begin with.

  • there is irish in there. i have met and worked with plenty of irish - from ireland. obviously it's not totally irish accent but the traces are there from generations of irish who immigrated to the u.s. that is how accents develop. the u.s. has not had as much time to develop many accents like in the u.k. but it is happening here slowly. there are 4 major american accents: northern, southern, eastern, and midwest/west standard.

  • Again, spare me the patronising rhetoric on historical accent applications,im fully aware and well studied in them.I know all about the history of the Irish,British,European etc influx to the US....blah blah blah. Now the reason i dispute is simple,he does NOT pronounce his vowels like the Irish do....i know what you guys are saying about 'ROOTS' that im in no way disputing...but you have the accent thing all wrong.

  • you're the one who sounds patronizing. you shouldn't have disputed my original comment then jackass. i don't care what history you're versed in - i'm a linguist so whatever. in terms of american accents, his is heavily irish influenced. is that clear enough for you?

  • Cheeky cunt,no need to get rude and abusive fuckface, you totally patronised me with your school like 'history lesson'.......wow,you met some Irish people 'real ones'....piss off you moron,do you realise how incredibly ignorant that sounds?

  • And don't forget Joe Strummer. Oh man.

  • Bouncing Souls, awsome!
