  • so, who has the produced antimatter then??

  • i can get the same effect by dropping $20 worth of acid on my tongue. wtf is this?

  • xD word

  • Nope black holes are part of the universe and birth of the universe. With out them we would not be here. They only exist out side not inside of particles cause they are created by the force of acceleration and deceleration forming the universe.

  • you nearly killed us with a 16 billion dollar custom shoop da whooper

  • Black holes are part of every atom, why would this particular black hole that cost $16 billion be any more special than all the other black holes? It's just the opposite to a light hole. Are you crazy physicists trying to pull our leg? I can't understand what it is you think you're going to find or how exactly is this going to benefit humanity? Can anyone actually answer this question? Or is this like looking for the Higgs Boson? I thought there were 6 of them?

  • i don't know who told you that black holes are a part of every atom.....but you should probably punch them

  • Although you have to admit, if god's particle is small as these folks claim, it does help explain the bible.

  • What the frick is a light hole?

  • omfg this is so assome

    you should be productor

    fock

    this is great

sell it for 10000000 million dollars

  • my uncle is working there(well was not sure now) and there trying to find a particle called THe Higgs Boson particle and there coliding two particles that resemble the atom structure of a gold particle but thats bout as much as i know(Btw dude stop posting on most of the vids bout this saying its a new internet grid cus its not)

  • This particle accelerator is not used to discover some little imaginary particle its used for testing a new internet grid AKA internet2. Where information (data) can travel alot faster then it can in nowdays. You guys should really look in to this.

There are alot of things happening with the internet and its destiny and we need to acknowledge this and protect it. Some of you may think this is crazy talk, but thinking scientist know how to react the big bang is crazy.

  • wtf are you talking about?

  • Internet2 is a highly censored version of the original internet. If you think China's prohibition of more than half the world wide web is bad, wait until you see how few websites you'll be able to visit on internet2. Google "alex jones internet2".

  • what could this have to do with internet 2? and what is crazy about finding out about the nature of particles (and by extension the big bang) by experimenting with them? makes perfect sense to me.

  • that didnt look too bad

  • wtf is that

  • wheres the black hole LOL!!! guess you guys can stop trying to shut down LHC its either to late or not going to happen so give it a rest.

  • If you read the info you will see that they infact did creat a mini-black hole, it just dispeased almost instantly because this would have to take place with objects thousands of times bigger to creat a truely destructive black hole.

  • actually a LOT bigger than that

  • for a black hole to survive it has to weigh more that roughly the weigh of the moon :P

  • this experiment is nothing more then the attempt of bacteria to colonize new host. Since we are about to run out of resources from our native host Earth. We are always searching for a way to feed our needs by conquering and invading other terretories. Is the Universe just another source of Energy for Us????? Is That all.. we really are??? Thanks to our wisemen for reminding us we we really are is a disease thats spreading..........

  • lol wtf

  • i can't wait until this proves how the universe was or wasn't created. at the end of the day science proves that something there is there, whereas religion fills in the blanks with "god did it".

as for those who think this is a waste of money let me explain something...

if we manage to find out a way to stabalise black holes we could end up finding out how to travel at high speeds (teleportation) or even save this already dying world.

  • U are soooo dumb if u will do research on the LHC. Inside its colder then space meaning that the scientist can cool down the atoms in the speeds of light, and note the atoms aren't going speed of light only going (99.1%) so basically they cans top it at once. its 1.5K the LHC in other words about -10,000 F thats colder then space!!!!(-350) and hawking is the person who found out about black holes so basically he knows almost everything about them so no worries this cannot happen!!!

  • the purpose of these collisions have nothing to do with god, they are meant to find out how matter gets its mass, and to test the theories around it, in particular the higgs-mechanism

  • O' how wonderful it would be if it created a black hole, I wouldn't have to work my ass off for the man anymore. Please, please be the end of mankind :)

  • And imagine all to prove if there is a god.....and don't be all like thats not why they did it...cause come on why would you want to test the big bang theory other then to prove or diss prove god

  • The purpose of this experiment is not to find out if there is a god, the purpose is to find out the nature of mass, what gives particles their mass.

  • ...but dont forget that we could have saved very many lifes in 3rd world instead...

  • this is not a wase of junk...we need to know more about space more about black holes and more importantly matter

  • It is funded by Physics departments around the world. It isn't £5,000,000,000 of 'DA WORLDS MUNI'.

  • nice mandala ... :-) ....

  • I fart more particles than this.

  • urrrrrm.... o.k....

  • insolent human worms! this is nothing but a weapon of mass destruction!!!a meteor will destroy all of you and your satanic machine!!!

    666 CERN NAZI TECH!!!

  • LOL

  • bullshitart101: Neutrinos pass through Atlas.

  • Well at least me and my ass are still alive for now.

  • This whole ATLAS expriment makes me lol. Who really gives a rat's ass bout a tiny black hole and "God Paticles". We don't even know if those particles exist and even if this proves they do, who STILL gives a rat's ass? Oh and I thought that they weren't even sure if Black holes existed yet? This is just scientists with too much god damned money. TAX payers money from around the earth probably.

  • "who STILL gives a rat's ass" well this could lead to a universal theory of gravity which you may not care about ... however this would be a MASSIVE break through in science. This may also prove string theory.. which could open an entirely new field of science.. and who knows maybe we'll be working on something similar to quantum mechanics on an even smaller scale.. and having: a universal theory of gravity and matter and a computer of unimaginable power put together into a simulator

  • asking questions is part of our subjective consciousness. it is why you live the way you do today instead of in a cave. if you don't give a rat's ass then you're a perfect candidate for religious belief, they do not give a rat's ass by being obedient, rejecting knowledge and not asking questions. evolutionary rejects. left overs. neurotic artifacts of anthropological neural development. remnants of humans understanding of reality many moons ago. thank you for reading my rant.

  • THE most true answer i have ever seen on youtube so far, jaxford...

  • The military wastes more money every month than this costs. Doesn't that concern you more?

  • How could it prove that there was is no God? It will just reveal more of the mystery, I think.

  • you're right on one thing. testing hypotheses usually just generates more questions. but experimental science does not prove anything. merely supports or rejects hypotheses to a level of probability. usually 0.05

  • Let people starve to death, we need mo' black holes

  • if this proves that there is no god then get on with it, it will save so many lives,

  • does this imply that the collision can not be contained?

  • so they spent 16 billion to make a black hole. kinda useless. I wouldnt spend much more than $10 on a black hole myself.

  • THAT'S 16 billion well spent!!!

I coulda photoshopped this for a $100 in a couple hours...

    LOLZ

  • It isn't the image as much as the information behind it.

  • Don't you feel like nobody ever 'gets it?'

    This is ENORMOUS!

  • i like the light green beam best. makes me feel all warm and protony inside. And that thick pink beam? Dont even get me started. oh lordy day!

  • this is fake right...?

  • what do you mean?

  • Amazing?

  • To a high energy particle physicist ... or someone with photoshop and too much time on their hands, yes amazing :P

  • wow
