I'm a Jays fan, & even I believe this was probably one of the BEST nights ever in baseball :-) All the dramatics, extra innings, last-at-bat heroics, & ALL the games were on TV at the same time! It was insane! It was great for baseball because people were saying that there wasn't anything exciting about baseball in September, but then the wildcard races got closer, & then BANG! In one night, it got crazy! Fun stuff...ANY baseball fan can say this was great for the sport :-)

If he starts and stops his motion they consider that to be deceiving to the runners on base and they are awarded 1 base. If you feel like reading it, I believe it is MLB rule 8.05

When Dan Johnson hit that shot, it sent shivers down my spine. Down the line, w/ topspin, just gets over the fence. But with 2 outs, I thought, damn, the Rays cant lose this after that 8th inning. But I remembered Dan Johnson, I thought how the hell do I remember him, because everyone else in the room didn't even know who he was. I remembered him hitting a walkoff homerun a year ago, and remember how composed he was for a nobody. I had a little faith, & it ended up being an identical shot.

I was there at the Rays game; insane night, pure magic. But, the Rays owe a huge, huge portion of it to the Yankees for doing their part sweeping the sox, pulling their starters in the game last night, and leaving the door open for the rays to do something. If the Yankees wanted that game, they would have sent in Roberson, Soriano, or Rivera; there's no way that the rays score 6 in the 8th if the Yankees care about the game. Still, the Rays got the hits when they needed them. Magic.
