I think the CVD`s are worth the money, can`t imagine they would ever break, maybe only pop out of the cup if it wiped out really bad, so they will probably last forever which is good, the GTR alu shocks from traxxas gave an amazing difference in the suspension... I would say push your wallet and go for both!
Yeah this video was from the 1st week these came out. I ended up getting the CVD's a few months back and they've put up with the abuse. For shocks the GPMs are a great deal.
so the motor does clear the shock mounts without any mods? Because I want to know if i should go with the 1110 series or 1112 which are slightly longer.
Nice! I watched your other video but do you notice any difference in the speed because I'm debating whether or not to go with the Neu motor and the Quark ESC over just keep it stock. Can the Quark handle 4S or only up to 3S like the stocker?
I didnt get the motor for speed. The KV rating is about the same as stock... but, the Quark can handle up to 6s. Either way its way faster and a lot more stronger than the stock. Not to mention it runs cooler.
Oh ok cool. But can the motor handle up to 6s is my main question? If it can I'll be saving for it and dual 3S Zippies. Also how much would the motor and ESC be?
I picked the 3900kv motor and its only good to 4s. The Neu 11xx series have max RPM of 60k so you might want to look into something 2500kv and lower if you want to go 6s. The ESC I got off eBay for $70 and the Neu 11xx goes from 115-140 depending which series
It is pretty big. I guess I can mount it where the receiver is but I think this setup is better. I can probably make a mount to put it up front by the front shocks but it may get in the way of the hood when I put the body on. It is smaller than the Mamba Max and Sidewinder though. Only thing smaller would probably be the Tekin RS
how did you mount the motor?

that motor fits on the stock 380 motor mount?
savageflux 2 years ago
Fits fine but you have to shorten the shaft about 1/3 of an inch so it doesnt hit the mount plate.

@LiqrSicc which 1115 exactly? does it require a tenbol mount? What type of pinion and spur gears are you using?
