  • is it a serious problem or can u just ignore it for a year or two? Whats the worst that can happen? broken belt? How much time and money to fix?

  • 0:21 ITS SCOOTY PUFF JR!!!!!!

  • puley crankshaft is broken..

  • duh

  • there is a mouse stuck in your engine

  • oh ok, i see...alright thanks.

  • yeah, my does the same thing too..i think its the alternator bully? not sure..but yeah, did u fix that squealing? if u did tell me so i can fix my too..lol. Thanks.

  • Yea I fixed it wtih a new crank pulley. The old one separated, thats what the noise was.

  • Was the rubber just cracking or was it in two parts that you could pull apart iv got a squeal an a 420a and the use the same balancer so that would be helpfull

  • It was in two parts.

  • hay i think i know wat it is, mine makes a noise like that too so i just replace all the belt and as i was under the car i found that my main crant pull moved a little bit on a rubber cushen or somthing im just buying a after market bottom pulley for $50 on ebay.

  • I fixed it. It was a bad harmonic balancer. I wish you luck with your eBay one lol

  • that kind of sounds like a ac compressor

  • Thanks for the post bro....my grand cherokee makes exact same sound....was it hard to replace?harmonic balancer?

  • No problem. It wasn't hard for me to replace but every car is different. The harmonic balancer is another name for the crank pulley. Just find the bottom pulley in your system and see if its loose at all. If not it could be loose belts or tensioners.

  • its the alternator.....may be you changed your belt recently and the belt doesnt match with the rotor inside.either get a belt according to company guide or change the alternator rotor.u can just rub the rotor by sand paper or anything else.rotor is located inside the alternator

  • Nah I fixed it. It was a defective harmonic balancer.

  • power steering fluid

  • I'm thinking more along the lines of a harmonic dampener.
