@ocegueraCAOS Actually this was made by a single student in our 3D Animation & Visual Effects program. All the credits you see at the end of the piece are acknowledging the faculty and mentors that the student worked with during the course of their program.
@pandat1 VFS does have green screen facilities for students to use for motion capture work if they would like to. The video above was made using 3D computer animation, modeling and visual effect techniques.
@rbs3d We have green screen facilities that can be used for motion capture if necessary, but not a designated motion capture system. In the past we have been able to rent out facilities when students need to do extensive motion capture. Hope that clarifies things for you. Thanks!
This one of the greatest animation I think I've seen from VFS it was just phenomenal all around. The sound was keyed, the animation was smooth and believable, the story was cute, everything was rolled nicely together and I was kept to its attention the entire time! Very good job!
I love this animation! Great character in the pink guy. However, it seems like the green container which took a great amount of force at 1:28 became very light at 1:45 when the blue robot can move it with little force.
Overall, I really liked this animation- Robert Yau's animations are fluid and realistic, and the camera work is great.
The green container didn't rly feel as heavy falling or bouncing as it did when throwing :/ also, I'm guessing it's heavy bcuz it's full? So wouldn't liquid have poured out?
Absolutely loved the lil' animation in the end and the sounds the small robot made remimded me of Yoshi for some reason XD
Thought you could have done a lot more with color and textures. It was all kinda matt. The animation was good to great at some points. Loved the part where he picked up the heavy object, you could really feel that. But when that same object came down, it didn't have the same heavy impact.
Very well done. The animation was excellent. My only issue was a lack of a really solid story line, but you established a great character in the pink guy especially. Overall I was very impressed.
Lol people down in the comments. it's called an animation. that is the main focus, not the sound effects. he/she did a great job making the bottle seem heavy
i wish like something came out of the bottle when it opened and then it would go all over in the tub and the little bots could be fighting and sliping and sliding that would have been cute but it was still good!
Incredibly well done. Fluid motion, good timing and posing, and I especially love all the camera angles, shakes, and motion blur you've added into the mix.
My only nitpick is the green bottle. It was given the impression that it was heavy only when the big guy was lifting it and after he threw it. After it landed, it's like it's weight disappeared. Other than that, it's very well put together.
@leotigerman86 you have to remember, though, they are miniature and fighting in a bathroom. so, while it may have seemed heavy when the bigger one was lifting it, that didn't mean that it would necessarily come crashing down, although it would've been nice if they had made the landing look a little heavier.
@iluvme4never Well, the part that bothered me was after the big guy jumped down into the tub. The bottle looked heavy to lift, it sounded heavy when it landed, and it certainly acted the part when it fell next to the small guy. But when the big guy swung his hand and it hit the bottle, it spun just as easily as the first, lighter bottle that fell down. I would have expected it to react differently. But I'm guessing, if they had time, they would have added water effects to explain the weight dif.
@talicadk It depends what you wan't to doo .. If you want to do animation its good to know AfterFX or Vegas Studio .. Cinema 4d is also great 3d software .. Poser for body animation . It all depends what you aiming for.

The characters movements are beautifully executed , takes a lot of observation to achieve something like this.
