That's a pretty funny picture, right at the moment too. But good job staying on. I've had that happen to me, lost my stirrup but I still finished the course - getting my stirrup back after an oxer. :) It's possible! My coach made me ride with no stirrup for a long time...so I'm used to it.

Saying as this is about 2 years old, I can't imagine how great of a rider you are now. :P The same thing happened to me (I have the clip of it included in some of my videos) but I recovered more quickly - it was a much smaller fence. Too bad about your stirrup, you would've dominated if you could've finished the course! Oh, and Sheldon is SO handsome!

hahaha It's alright, we all know you were practicing some sweet vaulting moves over jumps. Vaulting looks hard enough when the horse is at the end of a longe line, so I imagine it's extremely difficult over jumps. So...good job! ^^

Rode one to champion and the other I rode with no stirrups for over half my jumper course and jumpoff. Oh good times.

maybe because she was riding a good horse rofl. she isn't a good rider. so the horse trotted round in circles because it was well trained while she flapped around and got reserve. it happens.

omg how can you be PROUD to have done that?! proud to have stayed on? maybe but then you created it in the first place! proud because you have a horrible leg position and no contact so your legs flew up in the air madly? NO. proud that you dug your toes into your horses back? NO. so what really should you be laughing about except that you are a horrible rider who had a cool horse that SHOULDN'T have had to chip in like that. just because you buy the horse doesn't mean you don't have to try too!

Ok so buddy, watch her other videos before you start chirping her about all of her problems. If you took the time to see more than a few pictures of a very near fall, youd see she isnt bad. Plus, she never said she was proud of it. She never said she tried to kick her horse in the back, or that it was her main goal to lie flat on his back as he jumped, but it happened ok? Im sure every jump youve ever done hasnt been perfect, especially out of a chip or long. So lay off, Mk? :)

WOW. RUDE MUCH? I mean like she said it wasn't like she planned it. I'm sure the horse was just fine. She never planned it and she didn't say she was proud only because she stayed on but i would be too. So i agree with Fierry you need to shush you are very annoying. I am sure you have MANY flaws.

And just so you know that was not the horses fault, only the riders. You were the one asking her/him to go fast then you wernt ready. Nice job, you could have hurt the horse or yourself.

Aren't you the positive one? I don't think she did that intentionally. I mean, sometimes I go ride and consider taking a nap on MY horse's back too, but not everyone does.
(that was sarcasm, by the way)
She messed up. You've messed up. We all mess up. It happens :). Besides, I'm sure she was "ready" for the jump--just not for the horse's chip.

Impressive recovery! I can't believe you managed to get both legs on either side of the saddle and sit up again. Your horse has gorgeous form over the fence (despite the fact that you are taking a nap on his back...ha). He is gorgeous.
