What an idiotic video with a huge majority of idiotic responses , Steve did not lose his voice and can no longer sing, he simply lowered the key (below his comfort range) so that others could sing along, he also has always been one to prepare for vocal performances by not talking throughout the day and properly warming up which obviously he didn't do a baseball game. He was there to have fun and watch the game and because of his stardom got pulled into the celebration.

My only interest in Steve Perry is he was very hot to look at in his young days (late 70's till about 82) but there is no point in putting up this video then humilating him. What an idiotic video with a huge majority of idiotic responses , Steve did not lose his voice and can no longer sing, he simply lowered the key (below his comfort range) so that others could sing along, he also has always been one to prepare for vocal performances by not talking throughout the day and properly warming up which obviously he didn't do a baseball game. He was there to have fun and watch the game and because of his stardom got pulled into the celebration.

Alright I am not a big fan of Journey or this song. My only interest in Steve Perry is he was very hot to look at in his young days (late 70's till about 82) but there is no point in putting up this video then humilating him. He was probably drinking (that is what most folks do at ball games) and had been screaming his head off for the whole game. Anyone would sound rough at that point in time. To compare this to his concert voice in 81 is just ludicrous.

Schon should kiss Perry's feet from now until eternity. Perry was Schon's money maker and although Schon is a very good guitarist it was Perry's soaring vocals that brought Journey its success. Without Perry taking Journey to the heights it acheived Schon would most likely have ended up driving a garbage truck in the Bay Area and collecting a teamsters pension .The current Journey lineup is nothing but a tribute band with a karaoke singer as front man.
