Irate Gamer thinks he's so powerful with 1000's upon 1000's of fans and subs who love his shit, but NO. The majority of his sub's are haters who just wait for the shit he spews out just so they can criticize him in video form or in blog form immediately which explanes why he always gets the hate comments after posting the video. I had my own experiance with the irate gamers psychopathic fanboys and eventually with Chris himself.
All I did was step into a comment thread )which was two pages long) between two posters who were ranting and raving at each other about how one was better than the other.
What I said boiled down to "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but the accusations of plagiarism gave me some pause" and what I got in return was nonsensical ranting babble from the fanboys and a nasty PM from Chris
that basically accused me of being a "pseudo-intellectual who didn't understand his "art" to which I didn't respond then his fanboys flamed my page (I have since deleted all of their comments) then after Chris sent me another paranoid ranting PM demanding a response to his previous PM I finally sent him a one sentence Pm telling him to "piss off" and then bolcked his page.
I did respect what he did but after his and his fans antics I could careless if he rolled over and turned blue.

I had my own experiance with the irate gamers psychopathic fanboys and eventually with Chris himself.
All I did was step into a comment thread )which was two pages long) between two posters who were ranting and raving at each other about how one was better than the other.
What I said boiled down to "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but the accusations of plagiarism gave me some pause" and what I got in return was nonsensical ranting babble from the fanboys and a nasty PM from Chris

that basically accused me of being a "pseudo-intellectual who didn't understand his "art" to which I didn't respond then his fanboys flamed my page (I have since deleted all of their comments) then after Chris sent me another paranoid ranting PM demanding a response to his previous PM I finally sent him a one sentence Pm telling him to "piss off" and then bolcked his page.
I did respect what he did but after his and his fans antics I could careless if he rolled over and turned blue.

You're dead on about this shit, and it continues to this day! Like you, I enjoyed both shows but came to enjoy James' show more. Recently someone commented one of Chris' new videos saying that he felt that the quality of the videos had dropped off as of late. Some fan boy (or Chris) flamed him and called him an AVGN nazi. I simply defended the original guy and told the fan boy to chill out and, smack, I get banned as a subscriber and all related comments were removed. Fuck that shit!

Regarding your subsequent points, the only thing I would question is whether Eddie Murphy acknowledged his influence from Richard Pryor b4 or AFTER he (Murphy) had achieved success. In other words, if you compare Chris Bores to Eddie Murphy, since Chris Bores has yet to achieve big time success, I am assuming that he views AVGN as a competitor and would not want to acknowledge him. Murphy was a better person for acknowledging Pryor's influence, but before he achieved fame? Probably he did not.
