I think that the officer should protect him/herself from people who don't care about themselves or others. There are lots of people who flea the police because they have a gun on them. Walking up to criminal who is in a lot of trouble and the officer should just assume the offender is a nice guy. Give the officer a break. Anybody trying to fool the police in a case like this would try to look unconscious before shooting. It takes 4 lbs of pressure to pull the trigger on many guns.

If a 100lb-ft of TQ can get 500lbs to 60mph in 3s then 800lbft can get 2tons there in about the same time providing gearing stays the same between the 2.
