Ignorance is to say a person isn't knowledgeable about what they are doing or the fact that what they are doing is wrong.And excuses the racist person's behavior. A racist is aware of their behavior and knows what they are doing is wrong, they just choose to engage in the behavior anyway. Usually without any reprocussions.
