  • Awesome Joe Bonamassa!!

  • HmmMmm Joe Bonamassa on an Old Jeff Beck number.... Power of the blues, power of the freakin blues people!!!!!

  • Oh come to New York

  • I don't understand how rolling stone can leave this guy off a guitar list. Easily belongs in top 20.

  • f-in awesome !!! :)

  • before Joe got his "handler" and changed Joe into a good lookin trim (black suit - so kewl) blue guitar player .When Joe is in the supergroup BCC,the suit remains.

  • WWWWWWAAAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • Why god here in Brazil don't have guitarrist like him, only the shit of carnaval

  • O bassza meg a Bonamassa de kibaszottul odabasz :D:D:D:P:P

  • Let’s ask Eric Johnson if he thinks JB is original hey hey hey

  • Stole the guitar from buddy guy fucking crude

  • Marshall ??? I don´t think so I guess it´s the Txo Rock (dumble sound) you hear. :-)

  • @Angqvist Yep, but he uses different amp combos all the time. I'm pretty sure the Marshall is the only one going all the time, but that was after this video... Does sound very dumble-ish though, Two rock's rock!

  • @gkb911 So it is :-) I can see two "dumblers" in the background. 1 Two Rock and 1 (I don´t know may`be an´original overdrive special).

  • @Angqvist I think at one point he had an original overdrive special, but I think something happened to it, or he may of retired it, not quite sure. I looked it up he uses a Van Weelden Twinkle and Dumble clone on his european set.. and a Carol Ann JB-100 Dumble clone for his US set. He uses "Category 5" plexi replica heads(100watts for European, 50 for American). With a Two Rock Custom Reverb Deluxe and a Marshall Silver Jubilee always in the mix regardless of location. He uses EVM12L speakers.

  • This gave me a Bonermassa!

  • ! .. they say awesome a lot around here.

  • Quoting Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction: I said God Damn! God Damn...

  • Interesting this guy plays great guitar with impeccable technique and great feel - But if you listen closely you can hear licks from everybody else in there. Hendrix, SRV, Beck, Eric Johnson, he's done his homework alright but what is HIS style?????It would be great to hear what Joe Bonamassa really sounds like

  • @bentzsara You sound like a frustrated guitar player.

  • @Atomic8500 I wish, but I'm just a music lover

  • @bentzsara ..If you listen to everybody closely...you can hear a lot of people in everyones playing. Developing YOUR voice takes years to accomplish and anybody that tells you different is lying to you. I respect your comment but treating guitar playing like it's something static is just flat out wrong. He isn't just going from one guitar great's riff to another...these are completely original coherent ideas from beginning to end. I'm sorry you can't hear that.

  • @Sn4pDr4gon I understand what you are saying but i'm not the only one who thinks like this - Maybe you will take in consideration the opinion of one the greatest blues rock guitarist of all time, Mr Gary Moore (R.I.P) - He clearly stated that this guy was recycling guitar licks and needed to find his own style. Good luck to him though I think he is on the right track but don't associate him to the top guns

  • @bentzsara He maybe one of the many greats, but there are many in front of him. His comment would be equivalent to Albert King telling SRV he wasn't original or playing with enough soul. Sod off.

  • Don't let that man board a plane!!!!

  • I love malmsteen ect,,,but to be honest,,joe has the feel for the blues,,,yngwie does a great song called blue,,,but its very technical,,,and looses a certain feeling,,,what do you think ?

  • Greatest guitarist since Hendrix, and remarkably humble for a genius.

  • NEWSFLASH! Ol' Joe Blow Your Own Horn...is a great guitarist. It's just that he doesn't have a "hit" song because he hasn't written a "hit" song. He's been whining about that at recent concerts.

  • From the first note, I knew that that's exactly how a Les Paul should sound.

  • Love Joe Bonamassa and can't say enough good about him. For those who want to see an overlooked great, check out this video of a legend: STEVE MARRIOTT - Five Long Years (1985) Some know him from Humble Pie. This video shows him doing pure blues, and is a must see for blues lovers. Then come right back and enjoy some more JB.

  • i am sorry..but he is a fuckin' great player..especially with this perfect gibson tone..it is amazing

  • @icklono5 i agree.... one of the best players out there.... more soul than most and can shred with the best.... unheard of combo!

  • Amazing:) Great song Joe!

  • Amazing:) Great fucking song Joe!

  • Saw Jeff Beck Group do this with Rod. I gotta say this is a worthy cover. He has learned from the British blues masters all right.

  • Fantastik!

  • Just saw him in Oakland, CA... he is still 100% awesome! No opening band and he played for 2.5 hours, no intermission.

  • Tore Portland to PIECES last night!!!!!!!

  • loved the volume swells :D

  • loved the volume swells :D

  • Guitar God

  • 70 Justin Beiber fans. BLUES FOREVER!

  • Perfect blues guitar, at least to my ears.

  • Too bad he doesn't play like this anymore.

  • @tigweldinsob what are you saying he dosent make good music anymore

  • @tigweldinsob he's a awesome guitar player

  • my guitar would not be in tune after that.

  • 69 dislikes...... GIGGITY

  • this guy is fucking crazy man

  • Some weeks ago, i didn't know him . And one night, on the french radio, i've heard the song "prisoner" of his last album. Immediatly, i've gone on Deezer and listened all of him.Since, i've bought all his album and i listen continuously

  • Can't wait to see you in Amsterdam man! When is the question :)

  • Today we lerned from Maiteya (future Buddha of love), the four kind of love, its about help, wonder, heal wounds and care and I say all about in trues, for you all and you special!

  • Today we lerned from Maiteya (future Buddha of love), the four kind of love, its about help, wonder, heal wounds and care and I say all about in trues, for you all and you special, Joe, I love you so much, lets do some together by innenet!

  • I clicked this... Then my first reaction was just simply: "Holy crap." I was speechless for the rest.

  • 68 people think Justin Beiber loves them.

  • Side is fucken bad ass

  • Nothing sounds as good as a Les Paul through a Marshall

  • @Kptuser Nothing sounds as good as Joe Bonamassa playing a Les Paul through a Marshall

  • @Kptuser Oh yes, a PRS through a Mesa Boogie Mark V

  • @q2w3bn876 I doubt you have seen or heard what I can do to a 100 watt plexi Marshall PA modifying it into a 3 channel guitar amp and using the extra stage from channel 4 as another gain stage, or a 2 channel mod with 2 extra stages. A Marshall 1959 and JCM sound very different.. Mesa makes killer stuff, but many of their so called patents are ripped off from 1950s Hi Fi designs. Sadly they sued may builders into the poorhouse before some clever lawyer found the old info and sued back.

  • @Kptuser Depends. Bonamassa doesn't only use Marshalls. He plays through like four different heads.

  • @Kptuser

A Fender Tele through a Fender '57 twin amp doesn't sound bad either.. It's all subjective and a matter of personal taste, we can never be too rigid about these things.

  • @Kptuser My es 335 and vibrolux reverb beg to differ ;-)

  • @Kptuser

Nothing sounds as good as fedner trough a Marshall

  • About to see him TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • First time I've ever heard a guitar played so it sounds like a clarinet - sheer talent

  • たむけんかと思ったらボサボッサちゃんじゃん。

    太ってた頃の方がかっくいいな。個人的に。

  • @yamaha300km i agree

  • this song introduced me to the joe bonamassa music

  • 68 dislikes? seriously? give me one good reason to hate this video

  • @iPodbo9i as Ron White says "you can't fix stupid" and that's all i say to the people who dislike this

  • i'm always glad when i see somebody using Marshalls in 2011 :-) And the DJENT fans can fuck themselfs! :-)

  • An amazing cover, but you just can't beat the original!

  • Awesome

  • It took all of about twenty seconds for me to realize that this man is an elite. As in, I really don't know if or where I've heard the guitar played better than this. Wow. Spectacular.

  • @ifutureman Hes amazing, but there are some guitar players that can just wipe him out, Goerge benson is just insane...... but bonamassa is absolutely up there

  • this was in his prime

  • @MrNicknames123

Are you honestly saying he's not in his prime now? he's improved so much over the last 4 years

  • Wow.I like his work the first I heard it on Pandora

  • Who DISLIKES THIS?!

  • Dude this is so sick. Btw, whoever is hatin on the les Paulson I like them the best for blues cause they have that smooth but sharp tone that knocks my socks off

  • Without Garry, we still have Joe.

  • Now we know where Stevie Ray reincarnated

  • What

  • Holy shit this video is awesome. I know there is probably some squabbling going on because this is you tube. But tell me with a straight face that this music doesn't make you feel it regardless of what you think personally. Bonamassa has some tight defined technique.

  • The most exiting guitarist of his generation without a doubt. Heart and soul into everything he plays a true musician that plays for the love of music

  • that tone is just.......so clear and thick at the same time. beautiful.

  • If Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil; then Joe IS the Devil !!

  • Smokinnnnnn!! Great blues!! Lovin it!!

  • I don't give a fuck what shape his guitar is, it doesn't matter, all that matters is the sound, the sound is good

  • Les Paul made alot of things possible for the sound of the guitar, as far as players - he's up there with the best with his own style. Fuukin rightous !

  • joe sei un grande e mitico il tuo tocco è inconfondibile!!!!!!!!

  • 64 dislikes?????? are you kidding me???? they must be jealousy dislikes ...hahahaa about 480 BPM at 6:10ish

  • 64 dislikes?????? are you kidding me???? they must be jealousy dislikes ...hahahaa

  • Another Les Paul player... Amazing. No stratocaster or telecaster.

  • Not sure how I'd never heard of this guy before...but im SO glad i know who he is now!

  • I can feel it, thanks Joe

  • that was SICK!

  • aint it sweet

  • killer blues

  • camhawesmusic is frickin rite sounds like back in the day kids now aint no music

  • isso sim e um bom blues

  • Joe's tone is brutal!

  • He'll give a dead man the blues.

  • WOW! What I should say? :D

  • @vjekoyt1 say that you like it! :)

  • I totally get seeing Joe. But a DANISH blues fest? I don't know anything Danish blues. About the only foreigners I know of are Brits or Scots and a couple Ozzarians. Never heard of Danish blues.

  • @menckencynic Danes eat up flunk, blues and jazz.

  • @menckencynic Demonstrating a great American knowledge of geography there, sunshine. Scotland is in Great Britain. Good work.

  • @menckencynic Quit bein"stooooooooopid

  • @menckencynic Unfortunately for us Brits who love the blues there is a better blues scene in countries like Scandinavia, Holland, France and germany than there is here. Quite often good blues artists just pass us by. Fortunately Joe is a touring machine and always does a few dates every year.

  • @westonblues

On the contrary, there are a number of outstanding young british blues guitar talents and these guys are always on tour and tend to back guys like Walter Trout, Joe, John Mayall and Robben Ford etc when they come to the UK. The scene is pretty vibrant if you know where to look.

I can heartily recommend Oli Brown, Anysley Lister, Danny Bryant and Mitch Laddie - all fantastic players. They all have YT videos - check them out, but importantly try and see them live.

  • @menckencynic They actually have electricity there too! I see you're familiar with the I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T......did you know that on this internet thing you can find pages which tell you stuff about other places. It's called learning.

  • All I like is the part at: 5:33!!! Joe looses his mind for a couple of seconds and prooves that yes, he too, can go COMPLETELY MENTAL on his AXE!!!! FUCKIN' AAAAAA!!!!!! LONG LIVE BONAMASSA!!!!!!

  • Fantastic Joe! He is taking the baton and moving right out there in front of the pack.

    Asolutley stunning guitar work.

  • no doubt one of the best contemporary blues players there is

  • joe bonammassa on this one looks like gary moore!!...we miss you gary..joe bonamassa king of the modern blues

  • No contest!

  • Joe Bonamassa is probably on of the best in his game of all time.. Ive seen his shows live and they are fantastic to the point you get goose bumps.. after the show; he sighned and took pictures with everbody that wanted one.. A True class act! Joe Bonamassa autograph signing Fort Myers

  • Momak od svoje 4. godine svira gitaru,a i dan danas dnevno vezba po 10 sati, sto mozemo iz ovog spota videti,a i cuti rezultat rada ! Bravo Joe,samo napred !

  • We are witnessing the greatest blues guitarist of the early 21st century in his prime

  • You rocked my face off. See you in Minneapolis.

  • If some day I am this divided by 1000 I will be really really good at guitar.

  • Dude... holy shit..

  • This guy is brilliant!! HIs performance at Rockpalast is utterly good also! And yeah, full concerts of JB on my channel, guys... Or just do a search by 'joe bonamassa full concert' and you'll get there. Rock oN!

  • 3:49 ... WTF it's the Slash's Position ! :p

  • THIS GUY CAN BE A REGULAR JIMI HEBDRIX IF HE WANTED TOO

  • that's why i love BLUES so bad :)

  • Need a quick "GUITAR FIX?" Click here: 5:16 At this point, Joe goes "MENTAL," and there's no turning back!!! Mr. Bonamassa is not only an excellent musician, but also a GREAT SHOWMAN!!! God bless this fuckin' kid!!!

  • Love me some Joe...!!!

  • I AM VERY HAPPY TO LISENT THIS GREAT GUITARIST

  • yesterday i bought my first electric guitar.... i've choosen the epihpone les paul joe bonamassa signature (with a fendere frontman 65r amp) ... absolutely awesome!!!!

  • B L U E S ...

55milhas RADIO VIDEO LIVE BLUES JAZZ ROCK TRIP

  • :-)

  • He comes from a time long long ago when music was grand. Wow......just wow

  • Holy F-Bomb! So many moments in this song that make me just should out loud WTF! Secondly, yes, he's a phenomenal guitarist, let's take that as read, but I also want to take this moment to recognize that he's a BRILLIANT singer as well. And let's NOT forget, he wasn't even 30 yet in this clip!

  • No pick??

  • He's got it bad, real good

  • Holy fuck

  • Som maluco, cabra bão esse sô!!! Adorei.

  • @chitownbluesy Let me see if I have this right....yer sayin' that if an artist plays and original song later and better, then it isn't as good as the original? Mebbe you should call up Clapton and tell him that his version of "Hideaway" isn't as good as Freddy Kings.....Dunno, but Joe does this song way better that Beck imagined he could. And BTW Joe surpasses ART and transcends to the etherial!

    Lyndon

  • Try and remember that Rod Stewart wrote this song for Jeff Beck to play, and then think about what you want to say about Joe's playing. And anyway, it's not a fucking contest, it's called ART! ART IS OBJECTIVE.Just enjoy the ART shut your yap!

  • The boy can play!

  • Every one of you needs to shut the fuck up about the past and who you think Bonamassa is trying to cope. Clapton, Vaughan, King, Moore, they are all guitar greats proven time and time again, but in 30 years the kids will be wishing they had grown up in this very second to witness Joe Bonamassa in his prime and you'll all be saying "he aint' no Joe".

The guy is tearing that Les Paul a new one, listen and enjoy.

  • @CamHawesMusic011 completely agree with you! Be glad you're here and now to see this guy. He's unbelievable!

  • @WoodenBadger77

Yeah, I agree: he's not coping any of them...; he's trying to copy the greatest: Roy Buchanan, and I got to admit: the Les Paul comes close to the Telecaster!

  • @CamHawesMusic011

Yeah, I agree: he's not coping any of them...; he's trying to copy the greatest: Roy Buchanan, and I got to admit: the Les Paul comes close to the Telecaster!

  • @CamHawesMusic011 but he is young! Isn't he? I'm impressed. Most of the legends gone, only a few are still alive, but this guy is young :-)

  • @CamHawesMusic011 People who compare just for the explicit reason of sounding more intelligible or just in general being a devoted little fanboy are just kids who haven't grown up yet or don't fully understand blues. And yeah that les paul must have been begging him for more after that.

  • @CamHawesMusic011 The man can sang it........YEH!

  • Joe is the greatest, right up there with..SRV, GARY MOORE, ALBERT KING, CLAPTON..JOE BONAMASSA <3 <3 <3..pure natural talent, feels the music from their hearts <3

  • ? Anybody knows which scales are usually used by Joe ? Sounds great, from another planet :D

  • Joe is fantastic and not anywhere near as famous as some of the talentless garbage that gets fame and unlimited airplay ... ie .. Rap Crap. Then again I guess that is what the DJ listening Hip Hop, Rap Crap Zombies want. Joe is a true musician who's word of mouth fame is hard earned and solid. Just wish he would play Las Vegas so I wouldn't have to travel to Bakersfield to see him.

  • When the world lost Stevie & The Bulldozer.....Not many thought the blues would survive with just Gary Moore, Buddy, EC et-al flying the flag.....Then the lord struck down from above & delivered Joe Fucking Bonamassa.

    Praise the fucking lord.

  • Joe tours all these lovely little venues... I get to see him at least once a year.

    He is a powerhouse.

He is also by far my favorite, everything he does is sooo musical.

  • This guy is just always throwing in unreal music.

  • "that was f***ed up....wow i see don't get why talent extraordinaire s like Joe aren't on the radio instead of bullshit music like Katy Perry and Lady GaGa"

Because listening America has been *trained* to listen to lesser stuff; easier for the corporates to find talent-less people and pump them through main stream media than to find true talent like Bonamassa. Just follow the money...

  • My friend called her Lady Faga. Lol.

  • @Brembelia maybe you should turn off the top 40 station and find a blues station

  • Traditional/original blues players (accoustic) didn't play with pics (they were lucky to have the guitar; strings did not get changed frequently which also added to that particular sound,) they used finger picking like "Travis Picking". Bonamassa is just going back to the roots and grabbing for the richest and fullest he can with a combo of flat picking and finger picking. I'm a Texas blues fan, myself, but I won't be throwin' this guy out the door! Isn't he something???

  • Amazeing

  • Hey, that's good Blues!

  • Outstanding

  • that was fucked up....wow i see don't get why talent extraordinaire s like Joe aren't on the radio instead of bullshit music like Katy Perry and Lady GaGa

  • @guitardude495 I wish people would stop posting shit like this, the fact is the majority of people like music that you and I consider naff, and vice versa.

  • @guitardude495 that would be because radio stations play stuff that sell tampons and make women dance around a handbag

  • @guitardude495 Man.....u and me both.

  • @guitardude495 why did u even bother capitalizing there names fuck em!

  • @guitardude495

you might be listening to a pop radio station then o__o
