WOW...lol I can tell you went into this review/comparison bias as hell! lol. An Archos 404 can out perform an ipod touch (in some categories). You shouldn't do a comparison unless you have a good foundation with being able to use both products. don't want to sound like a dick but you get a 2 star because you half ass went through the Archos review like yo didn't even know what the hell you were doing. but that's just how I see it. I own a itouch, 404, and Archos 5 and by far Archos is superior

Archos: the whole 10Mb are copied and fully displayed.

IPod Touch: the pic is automatically compressed by iTunes to end up being a... 1.64Mb picture (Poor Quality).

wow you are such an idiot. Cameras can't even take 10mb pictures. Unless u use a satellite to take photos or something. A 700kb photo is a VERY high quality photo. The reason viewing pictures is laggy on the Archos, is because it doesn't compress the images. Viewing pictures on the touch never laggs. The images that are 1.64MB are NOT poor quality. They are GREAT quality. Dumb comments like yours piss me off.

That was a retarded comment. My camera can take pictures up to 17 MB in size (highest res @ lowest compression, and it's not a satellite. Albeit it's a dSLR but nonetheless, 10 MB pictures and larger are very common these days. Yes the iPod Touch compresses the pix and I'm partially glad it does, because my photos would take up a significant amount of storage space on my 8 gb. I'm also not too satisfied at the reduction in quality because of the said compression.

and video for archos is 5.5 while ipod touch is 5
