I prefer my acoustat, eminent tech, ohm acoustics, magnepans, and svs subs using carver/sunfire amps/preamps and processors and plenty of dakiom stabilizers

there spikes. reason there called spikes is they isolate vibration from the sub to the floor.

the way the sub is positioned you are not getting the best sound from it.

ive got the mission m35i's they sound bloody nice more power handeling than yours, bit of increased sensitivity you need to put that sub the right way up though.

i wudnt put ur laptop on ur Cambridge audio amp mate, they produce alot of heat through the top vent...nice missions, i have the top of the range mission m35s, with an extra cone for the lower frequencies :P

For a louder system you should add 2 Klipsh floor standing speakers. I have the biggest floor standing speakers you can get from Klipsh along with their biggest Sub. It goes to 85 DB's without any problems and it hurts my chest. haha. But that's pretty nice. Good base on it.

nice tho, mission are quality... and a smaller subwoofer cone = tighter bass, and that tannoy is 100W so you get the loudness you need!

yer... ive got the same amp as u... if its the Cambridge A5? My speakers arent as good as urs i dont suppose tho (there KEF cresta 10's) and got a Gale 3080 (10" sub, 100W) not bad tho, considering the price.

they are two 8 inch cones and a tannoy 10 inch, size isnt an issue, some peopel think the bigger the louder, they couldnt be more wring lol, nice one man get urself a set of mission, they are all powered by a cambridge audio amplifier:),

yea i know man, c now i have 2 kenwood towers with 10" subs and my grandpa got missions with 8"s and they have SOO MUCH more bass. i do have some NUANCE towers with 8" subs and tweeters but the subs r blown, got them from a garage sale for free, so i can just buy su good 8"s and o man, they make any speaker sound good, ported and isulated. very nice, if i get replacement subs ill take a video
