  • if you look rock and roll up in the dictionary, you should find this...the best of the best.....rock on

  • don't know the words to describe how this song f'ing rocks! whoooooo! hot hot HOT!!!!!!!

  • I saw him years ago, in the late 80's he actually had Jeff Beck with him for that particular show, it was great!

  • Thanks for turning me on to that denybop.. Great tune!!!!

  • Cant believe alot of these bands went disco. Must have been forced buy the labels. Most music died at thst time.

  • How did THIS Rod Stewart turn into the Rod Stewart we know today? WTF?

  • Who's the chick singing in the backround? Reminds me of a young Tina Turner.

  • @zuvoj

That is the AMAZING Maggie Bell. She fronted a band called 'Stone The Crows' about then. She also did an incredible duet with Long John Baldry (Black Girl) on his album 'It Ain't Easy' The song and one full side was produced by Rod Stewart. Elton John produced the other. Please, for your own sake listen to her sing with Long John Baldry. It rips paint off walls.

  • lost mc lost mc lost mc

  • Mick Waller double hits and misses and still stays in synch. Damn!

  • Rocking Rod Really at his Best! :)

  • 1 People Doesn't Have Taste Of Music

  • i love how at 3:48 rod gets anxious and starts to sing but realizes he's a split second early

  • Lot of 70's latch-key kids listened to our parents vinyl LPs...this was a HUGE one...also had lots of Cream, Led Zep, Beefheart, Who, CSN, etc.... YOU CAN'T RECREATE THAT ERA....however you can sure appreciate the "Musical Genius" of these bands. It is and never will be the same, but thats COOL, we still play these songs at BBQ's, parties, camping, etc. My parents may not be young anymore, but as their kid, I can appreciate the music on those funny vinyl discs ;)

  • I figure this motherfucker sold his soul sometime around 1974, but OMG this song is epic.

  • @darling67 Where is it now?

  • Love his old stuff. If only he could realize that he was truly a talent. I look at him now and wonder where the man who did my favorite music go!!

  • i like rod stewart and i don't play video games. if you know this song because of a fucking videogame, you're a young man who cannot possibly understand this song. it's about living life, enjoying youth, fucking french girls...get off the couch. stupid americans.

  • @buddaeguy I'm with you.

  • @buddaeguy prick.

  • @buddaeguy well I'm American, not necessarily stupid and not on a couch playing video games. I remember when this first lp of Rod's came out and dug it immensely; however, most of us are about to die off I'm afraid. lol

  • @buddaeguy Don't worry I'll still protect you from the boggeyman,you ass!

  • I remember seeing Roddy when he was still with the Faces, around the time he put this solo album out....he was awesome live. He had a bar set up at the edge of the stage. He wound up getting pissed, smacked himself in the nose with his mic stand, so he bled like a stuck pig. He just laughed it off as he toweled himself, Ronnie sang Ohh La La, and by the end of the song Roddy was back to singing.

    I love Rod Stewart's music~

  • If I like something I NEVER qualify...I stand by what I like and do not give a rats butt what others say or think...Rod Stewart is awesome...all of Rod Stewart thank you very much! There aren't too many real and talented musicians out there any more!

  • @myluckynumberis1 You bet! Rod is the dogs bollocks. Had the luck to see in Manchester, his talent and showmanship is fantastic. where is the real talent out there. Keep Roddin an Rollin. Tricky Dicky. Jersey

  • Lost and damned reference

  • The initial five solo L.P.s, TRUTH, BECKOLA and the (not so) Small Faces L.P.s are all you need to know about Rod Stewart. He made ATLANTIC CROSSING and, shortly thereafter, DIED.

  • Bammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • he made a lot of sh*t records but this one was totally different its totally rocks!

  • I just love this album. One of my first.

  • This is Rod's best song...true quality.

  • Love love love this!

  • "the slit eyed lady also knocked him off his feet"!

  • "i fell in love with a slit-eyed lady".....how racist is that SBS?

are you now going to start a campaign against rod?

  • Rod had a great voice.

  • Who the fuck is that drummer???!!!

  • @thedashingderek2 carmine appice drums

  • @thedashingderek2 Carmen Appice i believe was Rod's drummer on this. Carmen played with so many acts he's hard to keep track of.

  • @yaesuman Micley Walters and Kenny Jones played drums on this album. It's on Wikipedia so you know it's true.

  • @yaesuman Mick(y) Waller bangs.Carmen came along later, no offence I made a habit of reading lp liner notes as a kid.
