the guy can move, no doubt. but i understand that he has spent some time in china studying martial arts. how does that mesh with his claims of ancient jewish fighting style, of which no one but him seems to have heard? why are the moves so much like kung-fu? it seems awfully like an attempt to find a way to practice an art which he obviously loves with his judaism.
@kalevraa Thanks for offering one of the most thoughtful comment's I've gotten on this video: I don't know, and don't know from martial arts, but that sounds reasonable enough.
@kalevraa you're welcome -- glad you liked the comment. i do study martial arts, and also have spent a long time living abroad, and witnessed all sort of interesting reactions people have to different cultures. among israelies it is often manifested in some sort of return to one's roots, however one perceives them. if one is also in love with an aspect of the alien culture very different from the root culture, how does one resolve the contradiction?
@davebender indeed. i don't know a single human who doesn't live in a contradiction of some sort. perhaps someone like buddha could resolve them all. for us regular schmucks, it's daily self-delusion, hopefully manageable and preferably harmless, and ideally beneficial -- like the kung-fu rabbi here.

Obviously never done or watched boxing . If you open your hand you lose power and the surface area landing is softer than a hard fist , Guys honestly if you could become a world champion and win millions of dollars in doing so then by now somebody would of done it and because nobody has then it just proves its impossible . Many famous jewish boxers can testify what I say is fact but not saying it wil not hurt if not expecting it but compared to a punch then no comparison
@nobbytang We're cool, dude. I really appreciate all the thoughtful comments - that's why I bother to, as well. I've learned a lot about the field through the viewers.
Dave . I was wondering if you would elaborate on what youve learn off the viewers through there comments ? . I am pretty sure that the different points of view expressed really do nothing but confuse you ( and anyone ) . I am sure that the traditional martial artists claim how affective this is and the doubters ( myself ) pour scorn to it . In defence britain is quite a violent place especially when alcohol is involved and as a door man I ve seen loads of aggro .
@nobbytang Not sure, really, mostly just fascinating how the fine details of moves are closely debated - when all a yob like me sees is "Wham, bam, on the mat." It's not confusing any more than watching any sport along with pros (and wannabe' pros) to try and see what they're seeing. The drinking is an issue anywhere, and, as a bouncer, bet you've seen your share of rough stuff. Be well.
Dave - A lot of street toughs are exactly that , if they are aggresive and willing to take pain to give pain then size becomes a major issue . martial arts ( traditional ) are better than nothing but a fighting heart is more important . Take israel - surrounded by enemies they know that every fight is important . In the UK we are a island and again we english look around and see the french ( and german ) one way and the scots and welsh another way and we want to be the best
as a religious yemenite jew, he simply can't accept that what he practices, and clearly loves, is a product of a completely alien culture, namely china. people have an endless capacity for self-deception -- they simply believe what suits them. americans believe they support democracy. japanese think they invented martial arts. my russian teacher informed me that russians invented ice cream. this guy clearly has studied wushu, but i promise you that his teacher was not a rabbi.
@smoth7 Hah! Good laugh for me first thing in the morning... There a big argument in the comments below about what style he's using. "The Big Slap" technique, apparently...
@smoth7 - many martial arts do not use closed fists. in most cased, their philosophy is that they want their hands open to be immediately ready for grappling. it also protects the bones in your hands from being damaged because the force of impact is spread throughout the hand rather than concentrated on the knuckles. a very effective phillipino martial art, Kali, does not use any closed hand techniques at all. so "slap fighting" can be pretty nasty.
well it's quite confusing to me since i studied a few styles including wing chun, shotokan karate and hapkido, and this doesn't look like kung fu to me ithas some basics of the martial arts that we are used to, but it's still different, and i can't pinpoint what exactlly. but i certinally do not believe that this is an original hebrew style. i guess the jews in biblical times were fighthing roman or egyptian fighting methods. then again could be i'm wrong.
@martialartist1089 I myself don't have the answer to that question, but I suppose others here do - read the comments. Thanks for your thoughtful comment, in any case.
@martialartist1089 I know it first appeared around the area of Mesopotamia, over time the concepts of the primitive martial arts spread East, First to India.
It was originally designed as a means of self-defense strictly used to protect against the attack of People AND Animals!
Every form of martial arts is a further variation of the art, There is no "True" martial art, To this day people still continue to innovate new styles of martial arts. Anyone can be a Legit creator of a martial art.
@martialartist1089 - if you want to see how jews fought look for evidence in history of the phoenicians. their wars and fighting techniques are better documented than hebrews, because they were ina struggle for hundreds of years with the romans. they were semitic people. Hannibal was a phoenician.
@AlienZygote010 and akkads were semitic too and a completly different culture and
phoenician is a differnt culture too, btw they weren't described as the hardest close-combat infantry, their main strenth were their fleets, slingers, and in carthage the cavalry(and elephants) , while jews were tipically trained as close-combat infantry -> Josephus Flavius
@akicram Busting out the Josephus :) commisioned to write a history of the Jewish people by the Romans. It's hard to argue with references like that lol
@martialartist1089 - i also forgot to mention that i agree with you. there are some similar techniques and movements. just like i can look at greek art of men in combat and actually recognize grappling techniques i know from chin-na. with all the similarities, i believe this is an ancient and unique art because it is unlike anything i've seen. but some of those techniques look very similar to mantis style kung fu.
@AlienZygote010 yes it does have some similarities to praying mantis style kung fu but u have to understand that u'll find similarities in every style whether it's in philosophy or certain moves/techniques
dude.. i don't care how he wraps it up -- this is kung fu, pure and simple. he wants to say it's ancient biblical style? fine. when i was a schoolboy in siberia, my teacher claimed that russians invented ice cream. it's just as credible... the guy can move, no doubt about that. someone taught him his moves, but it was a sifu, not a rabbi.
Just throwing in my 2 cents here, but I would say it's not the style but the fighter. Fighters who consistently challenge other fighters are better combatants than people who do not. Pretty sure this guy trains w/ Isreali Military, which would promote constant exposure to hand to hand combat. This combat, like Krav Maga, would promote only disabling &/or killing your opponent. That requires strength & high level precision. Hard to say for certain either way w/o seeing the guy in action personal
@pranakhan Thanks for the intelligent comments. I think others have said that about him, but I'm not sure of his background - I think not, at first glance. Do a search, I suppose, and post the page here if you'd like. Thx, Dave.
@pranakhan ofcourse the style of a fighter matters, as it determines the rules the fighter trains by. if you put a grappler up against a boxer in a boxing match, the grappler is fucked. if you make them fight by grappling rules, the boxer is fucked. if you put them in a fight with no rules and the grappler can take it to the ground hell win due to the fact boxers dont fight off their backs but if the boxer can stuff takedowns well he may have the edge. on topic this guy in the vid is a clown.
This man studied martial arts in the far east, and then returned to his Jewish roots later. He is trying to integrate everything together, and to find out the martial arts which Jews practiced in the past. At one time the tribes of Israel were warriors and they fought to take the Land of Canaan and to conquer it. He is a very interesting person, since his studies combine Torah with martial arts.
Yep, Hebrew Martial Art is something. They are one of the oldest cultures in history. So they do have the ability to create outstanding skills. Chinese martial art derives from Mediterranean Area and White India, so very possible that Chinese got those moves from the Hebrews. Don't look at those silly moves. That guy can lift a big rock already, so you should be aware of his inner strength. If he combines that power with his speed attacks, hehehe... XD
@JadenXYuki well he killed over 6 million i dont think he shited him self my friend, if all jews now how to do that second world war woudnt have happend!!
@robertfrade I must agree that it looks pretty maybe a good warm up before actually getting his arse kicked have you watched I think its called kioa vs mma same sort of thing the mma just floors him when his magic stuff dont work on a proper fighter.
@formidablepower Could be that it's just a warm-up, but other commenters - who really do know far more about this than me - say the style is real, even if he looks goofy to you. In any case: everyone's an ass-bustin' tough guy in Youtube comments, huh?
@davebender I didnt say he looks goofy thats you and if your refuring to me giving tough guy comments your pretty much mistaken mate I'm just saying I seen alot of s@@t on here that won't help in a real situation I aint giving tough guy comments it's just how it is mate like when I see people doing martial arts against loads of people don't know where most people live if they think when a gang of people attack someone they do it one at a time cos it dont work like that you get smashed
@davebender n/p mate I aint sure if your being sarcastic or not but it's true you cant beat a lot of people at once I'd say a fighter maybe beat about 4 average fellas but if there fighters aswell he aint got a chance by time he knocked one out his being hit by the others or knocked to the floor just how it is I say very few could do it anyhow
the guy can move, no doubt. but i understand that he has spent some time in china studying martial arts. how does that mesh with his claims of ancient jewish fighting style, of which no one but him seems to have heard? why are the moves so much like kung-fu? it seems awfully like an attempt to find a way to practice an art which he obviously loves with his judaism.

@nobbytang Me or him? I know nothing of martial arts, and have said so repeatedly below (if you'd bother to read down). Him? I dunno'...
davebender 1 year ago
@nobbytang sorry Dave , did really dive in there but am passionate about boxing .
nobbytang 1 year ago
@nobbytang We're cool, dude. I really appreciate all the thoughtful comments - that's why I bother to, as well. I've learned a lot about the field through the viewers.
davebender 1 year ago
@davebender
In defence britain is quite a violent place especially when alcohol is involved and as a door man I ve seen loads of aggro .
regards
nobbytang 1 year ago
@nobbytang Not sure, really, mostly just fascinating how the fine details of moves are closely debated - when all a yob like me sees is "Wham, bam, on the mat." It's not confusing any more than watching any sport along with pros (and wannabe' pros) to try and see what they're seeing. The drinking is an issue anywhere, and, as a bouncer, bet you've seen your share of rough stuff. Be well.
davebender 1 year ago
@davebender

I hope nobody seriously beleives that this have been practised like this for thousands of years.

as a religious yemenite jew, he simply can't accept that what he practices, and clearly loves, is a product of a completely alien culture, namely china. people have an endless capacity for self-deception -- they simply believe what suits them. americans believe they support democracy. japanese think they invented martial arts. my russian teacher informed me that russians invented ice cream. this guy clearly has studied wushu, but i promise you that his teacher was not a rabbi.

@smoth7 Hah! Good laugh for me first thing in the morning... There a big argument in the comments below about what style he's using. "The Big Slap" technique, apparently...

always good to look at the world with a smile, sometimes it is all we can do to keep from going crazy :).
smoth7 1 year ago
@davebender
This isnt martial arts!?! this is retard arts LMAO
PeaceandUnity1972 1 year ago
@smoth7 - many martial arts do not use closed fists. in most cased, their philosophy is that they want their hands open to be immediately ready for grappling. it also protects the bones in your hands from being damaged because the force of impact is spread throughout the hand rather than concentrated on the knuckles. a very effective phillipino martial art, Kali, does not use any closed hand techniques at all. so "slap fighting" can be pretty nasty.

@AlienZygote010 Interesting POV, thanks. ... viewers?
davebender 1 year ago
well it's quite confusing to me since i studied a few styles including wing chun, shotokan karate and hapkido, and this doesn't look like kung fu to me ithas some basics of the martial arts that we are used to, but it's still different, and i can't pinpoint what exactlly. but i certinally do not believe that this is an original hebrew style. i guess the jews in biblical times were fighthing roman or egyptian fighting methods. then again could be i'm wrong.
martialartist1089 1 year ago
@martialartist1089 I myself don't have the answer to that question, but I suppose others here do - read the comments. Thanks for your thoughtful comment, in any case.
davebender 1 year ago
@martialartist1089 I know it first appeared around the area of Mesopotamia, over time the concepts of the primitive martial arts spread East, First to India.
It was originally designed as a means of self-defense strictly used to protect against the attack of People AND Animals!
Every form of martial arts is a further variation of the art, There is no "True" martial art, To this day people still continue to innovate new styles of martial arts. Anyone can be a Legit creator of a martial art.
RapTerrA 1 year ago
@martialartist1089 - if you want to see how jews fought look for evidence in history of the phoenicians. their wars and fighting techniques are better documented than hebrews, because they were ina struggle for hundreds of years with the romans. they were semitic people. Hannibal was a phoenician.
AlienZygote010 1 year ago
@AlienZygote010 and akkads were semitic too and a completly different culture and
phoenician is a differnt culture too, btw they weren't described as the hardest close-combat infantry, their main strenth were their fleets, slingers, and in carthage the cavalry(and elephants) , while jews were tipically trained as close-combat infantry -> Josephus Flavius

@akicram ...and did I say how much I appreciate thoughtful comments on this thread? Thanx, akicram.

@akicram Busting out the Josephus :) commisioned to write a history of the Jewish people by the Romans. It's hard to argue with references like that lol
hashashin821 1 year ago
@martialartist1089 - i also forgot to mention that i agree with you. there are some similar techniques and movements. just like i can look at greek art of men in combat and actually recognize grappling techniques i know from chin-na. with all the similarities, i believe this is an ancient and unique art because it is unlike anything i've seen. but some of those techniques look very similar to mantis style kung fu.
AlienZygote010 1 year ago
@AlienZygote010 yes it does have some similarities to praying mantis style kung fu but u have to understand that u'll find similarities in every style whether it's in philosophy or certain moves/techniques
martialartist1089 1 year ago
dude.. i don't care how he wraps it up -- this is kung fu, pure and simple. he wants to say it's ancient biblical style? fine. when i was a schoolboy in siberia, my teacher claimed that russians invented ice cream. it's just as credible... the guy can move, no doubt about that. someone taught him his moves, but it was a sifu, not a rabbi.
kalevraa 1 year ago
@kalevraa if it's kung fu, it's really bad kung fu. Looks like he learned other martial arts and then added fake kung fu he picked up from movies.
dminor14 1 year ago
Just throwing in my 2 cents here, but I would say it's not the style but the fighter. Fighters who consistently challenge other fighters are better combatants than people who do not. Pretty sure this guy trains w/ Isreali Military, which would promote constant exposure to hand to hand combat. This combat, like Krav Maga, would promote only disabling &/or killing your opponent. That requires strength & high level precision. Hard to say for certain either way w/o seeing the guy in action personal
pranakhan 1 year ago
@pranakhan Thanks for the intelligent comments. I think others have said that about him, but I'm not sure of his background - I think not, at first glance. Do a search, I suppose, and post the page here if you'd like. Thx, Dave.
davebender 1 year ago

72Yonatan 1 year ago
Yep, Hebrew Martial Art is something. They are one of the oldest cultures in history. So they do have the ability to create outstanding skills. Chinese martial art derives from Mediterranean Area and White India, so very possible that Chinese got those moves from the Hebrews. Don't look at those silly moves. That guy can lift a big rock already, so you should be aware of his inner strength. If he combines that power with his speed attacks, hehehe... XD

robertfrade 1 year ago
@robertfrade I must agree that it looks pretty maybe a good warm up before actually getting his arse kicked have you watched I think its called kioa vs mma same sort of thing the mma just floors him when his magic stuff dont work on a proper fighter.
formidablepower 1 year ago
@formidablepower Could be that it's just a warm-up, but other commenters - who really do know far more about this than me - say the style is real, even if he looks goofy to you. In any case: everyone's an ass-bustin' tough guy in Youtube comments, huh?
davebender 1 year ago
@davebender I didnt say he looks goofy thats you and if your refuring to me giving tough guy comments your pretty much mistaken mate I'm just saying I seen alot of s@@t on here that won't help in a real situation I aint giving tough guy comments it's just how it is mate like when I see people doing martial arts against loads of people don't know where most people live if they think when a gang of people attack someone they do it one at a time cos it dont work like that you get smashed
formidablepower 1 year ago
@formidablepower Really - nothing personal and I do appreciate the honest comments. Thanks for making the time to write back.
