Proud that I'm a Caper. When I was 17 Matt was playing the Dirty "O" in Halifax, It was sold out. So 2 of my girlfriends and I went down get tickets, we met Matt and he asked if I could help set up and if the girls would like to sell T-shirts and we would be put on the guest list. WOW!, we jumped at the opportunity. So as the night went on me and the girls got really smashed and lost track of the T-shirts sales, but it all ended up good. Thanks for the memories Matt. Hope to see ya play again.
I didn't realize until about 13 years after this song & video debuted that Charlie Daniels recorded it as well in the same year.I heard Matt Minglewood's first & I'm partial to him because he's a fellow Cape Bretoner.
