Strangely, this child was not having any sort of anxiety attack when he was "packed" - it looked like part of a routine. My son does something similar at school but in a very different way. He's wrapped tight in a spandex bag of sorts and given a back massage; it seems to calm him almost immediately. I say the adults should be given this "therapy" and see how well they do?

They are fooling themselves. Many autistics crave deep deep pressure. She doesn't want to because they have abused her, made it out of her control. Why don't they figure out why it is calming instead of using psycho-babble. Autism is a physical manifestation, in every cell of the body. WHY is deep pressure craved? (NO, not because mama did not hold enough.) Stupid psychiatrists. Wouldn't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Poor little girl. She said "I don't want to, I'm scared".... So many autstic kids do as they're told because "it's the rule", all they're teaching them is that their feelings are not to be respected and any adult can do whatever they want to them, even if it hurts, they have to obey. I'm french btw, and I think this can't be changed from the inside. We need the help of the international community.

France is 50 years behind modern scientific thought on the causes of autism.  They are still stuck in Bruno Bettleheim and psychoanalysis. I feel very sorry for the children and parents trapped in this system of medieval thought.
