Deadmau5 on the other hand indeed plays his mp3s in Ableton, but before he plays them, he makes them! He doesn't buy them for 0,99, but spends weeks and weeks in the studio to make the tracks. So upmost respect to that. Therefor Traktor dj's are still wayyyy easier...

A DJ is not about only spinning his own tracks (indeeed, I think its good that Deadmau5 therefore refueses getting called a DJ), but if I pay money to see someone live I dont want to experience a set that only contains the tracks by the producer, because thats boring as fuck. I want to get surprised by a good set which actually shows off some musical knowledge, skills and diversion. Plus famous DJs produce as well so they include their own tracks anyway.

Secondly, Deadmau5 doesnt spend weeks and weeks producing a track, proof is, he doesnt have time for that. But still, that he is one of the most massively producing guys in the Electronic music scene only proves that his productions are 1. cheap and / or 2. partly ghostwritten (which is a common thing to do in the Electro House / Trance scene, and an open secret that all of the top 10 DJ Mag Djs do it anyway).

You can see videos of him jumping around on stage while his song goes through sequences he would otherwise have to be triggering (if they were still the ableton project files). I dont honestly care, but i find it funny that people consider his live set to be much more complicated than a DJ set when really its easier haha.
