Yamuna was actually intelligent and broad minded. If we don't agree with those great souls such as Srila Prabhupada then I am concerned for that person due to their narrow mindedness. Sastra cannot be viewed as mundane literature emmanating from this world. Our mentality should be humble and our hearts should be clean and above all we should learn to see all adverse conditions as the mercy of the Lord. Are we better than all those who have gone before? Do we know Krishna's mind?
Its better to open the heart and listen ... all the talks should stop now... appreciate the greatness in others, get inspired and lead a godly life. Life is too short for finding faults on the persons, who left a great impression on others minds... Jay Radha Krishna.
One judges a person by what they say about others. Never imbibe hearsay and never repeat it. As for Yamuna she was and is very dear to Srila Prabhupada and these comments would not please him at all. Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON are one and the same and Krishna works through Srila Prabhupada, hence he is never wrong unless we have dirty hearts and wish to see it that way.
Yamuna Devi passed away a few days ago and her destination is assured to be a good one :-)
I do not know if whe was a lesbian or not but What I can see is that her vocie made many people praise Lord Govinda and for that she deserves to Go back to Godhead. May Sri Krishna have her with him.
