  • Thanks, for this video I am going to do the same on my boat. Thanks for the ideas..

  • @edhrndz103 NO PROB MATE

  • thanks mate, great vid !

  • well done mate

  • awesome!

  • Thanks for the info, looks good to me!

  • Where did you buy the fabric ??

  • Your video is great. I was just about to spend 300. for one.

    Thanks

  • Wallmart sells there for $100. How much did it cost you to make your Bimini top? Just wondering if it's worth it or not.

  • $10 for the pvc, $5 for nuts and bolts, i got the fabric free and the string cost 2.96 at walmart where did you see the bimini at walmart?

  • @journeytheoutdoors its on their website. They don't sell it directly at the stores. They'll ship it for you for free if you pick it up at one of their walmart store. But that's not bad at all for the price that you made it. Not bad at all.

  • I wouldn't think was so simple great idea I will try rotfl make it work for my boat

  • hey great vid Dave ive been looking on google for help to make a canopy for my skipper 14, now i need look no more, well done mate.

  • WoW awesome idea yet simple! My next project!!!! Thx

  • Great video. One thing that someone may have mentioned already: standard pvc cement welds instantly and is basically unbreakable. It essentially melts the surface of the two fittings so that it becomes one piece. Put it together quickly in one smooth motion because you only get one chance but its a perfect bond.

  • Someone may have already mentioned this but you should use the standard pvc cement. it doesn't work like glue exactly. It basically instantly welds the pvc to the fitting.(do it fast because you only get one chance;once it sets it's permanent. You have to break the fitting to get it apart.

  • Right on. I'm experimenting with building one of these for my sailboat and your video really helps.

  • Great job and a real cash saver !

  • good stuff, only thing id reccomend is have the mrs break out the sewing machin and make a top like a fitted sheet with velcro loops under it so u can just toss it on when ur out there, wont have a big pile of canvas laying there just fold up and set the fitten one aside, second get some bungie chord for the front tie downs with a small hook on the end of each so u can hook em on eyelets quick and easy, good job man

  • Yes, that works well I have done it myself

  • thanks for the gret ideas

  • If you use straight brackets instead of straightening an angle bracket you wouldn't weaken the medal at that point. These brackets are forged after they are bent so unbending them puts the integrity of the bracket in jeopardy.

  • nice top i need to set up one for my future kayak 2010

  • Hey try double nutting bolts. It allows the bolt to move freely and you don't have to tighten the nut to hold.

  • Nice video and info Dave

  • THANKS I APPRECIATE THAT

  • thanks very efficient and effective

  • thats great really essential for the coast to.
