@TomHardyPinky He isn't in the enhanced viewing him mode unfortunately, but he is featured on the making-of, Redemption. Worth it to see Hardy and Edgerton training. I could watch a dvd full of nothing but Tom lifting weights and sparring for 2 hours. Easy.

@solejoeyaol whoa whoa hold on.. I think Tom Hardy is a fantastic actor! but that wasn't a role that deserves an Oscar. For his role as Bronson maybe but the character of Tommy while very likeable doesn't represent what the Academy generally looks for. I think Nick Nolte was chosen appropriately.

@DrakeBrunette To tell you the truth, I don't even know that whoever chooses the winners for the Oscars know what they are "looking for!" I've watched money-ball and the descendants, and both those movies sucked, as well as the acting! Pitt and Clooney "know" people I guess. But a movie like Warrior with great everything like acting, directing, etc. gets no recognition, then something is wrong!! Tom Hardy out performed every other actor last year hands down!!! Don't believe me? Watch Warrior!!!

@solejoeyaol I have not seen either of those movies but I highly doubt they sucked and I have already told you that I watched Warrior and how I feel about Tom hardy...did you even bother to read my comment? To answer your question, the Academy in deciding for Best Actor looks for roles that show great amounts of character/physical transformation. Once again, Tom hardy has done some very good performances as of late but his role in Warrior is not by any means revolutionary to acting.
