  • If you don't end up being a reckoned pianist around the globe I don't want to live on this planet anymore..

  • you wouldn't want kyle to play at your wedding.. the people would be more focused on kyle than the actual wedding itself

  • You capitalized the word "Improvisation" :o

  • Guys, just let charliebucket be an ignorant idiot who has no appreciation for music. Let him think fast music is good and slow music sucks. It's just more proof on how pathetic and foolish he looks.

  • (Continued)

That you could play it unequivically better. You got so much talent i think it must ooze.lol keep up the great work you so effortlessly produce. Its inspiring to us who play and a gift to anyone that hears it..

  • This is fantastic......and i also seem to not stay in bed when i dont have to work the next day. Im not nearly as good as you since im a rookie of 1 year but im aiming to be someday. Id love to hear you play a version of memory, the theme from the cats broadway musical, that a pianist by the name of david wittie plays in a video here on you tube posted by user: mymusiclogs check it out if you read this it is much better than the original which was only marginal on the pianos sheets. But i think

  • yal need to quit bickering over a pianist's video....like serious i'm 14 and i'm better than that

  • @AllyzzRUSK no you aren't you suck

  • 2:52 - 2:56

great use of the V7 chord, kyle(:

  • I WANT 1-1 !!!!!!!!! I LOVE UR WORK!!!!!

  • Thanks Kyle.

  • Will you play at my wedding? :3

  • You're style reminds me a pianist-girl from our school which plays on our concerts. She jumps with basses as low as possible, too... It's amazing.

  • this is so relaxing, thanks Kyle

  • You should play "Corazon de niño" by Raul di Blasio. Excellent pianist!

  • i was playing around on the grand pianos in a piano shop, they were so awesome, but i got kicked out when they found out i don't have $20000

  • @ImAGrateSpellr haha fucking loser!!!!!11

  • You should do concerts! I would definitely pay to see Kyle Landry in concert. :D

  • Haha i came here expecting an improvised canon. Not an improvisation around the groundbass of THE canon.

  • @thebloads LOL, sorry about that, I should be more specific. That must have been quite a shock :p

  • somebody has to transcribe this version for me!

  • You're amazing !

  • Who cares if you play dearly beloved alot?! I love that song and it should be played many many times in many different ways. Kyle you are just the perfect solution.

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOU

  • It's nearly 40°C here at work, but I just turned off the noisy air-conditioner so that I could better hear your latest Canon improv from my weak little laptop speakers :)

    BE HONOURED.

  • imagine all the videos that Kyle wont be able to post because of SOPA. vote against it!

  • This is great. The variations are done so well :)

  • rawr

  • This is beautiful <3

  • In the Soviet Union, "GSUSA Transgender Response" is a video response to "Canon Improvisation no15 - Hope and Healing." Wait a minute, it should also be in everywhere else, too.

  • you finally have over 100,000 subscribes kyle!! :P

  • @davidcho57 he's had that many for a few days now, please calm the fuck down

  • @charliebucket47 what the hell is with you? i'm just happy for him and i just wanted to congratulate him even though it was a bit late.

  • @davidcho57 well you have a serious attitude problem and it's affecting the people around you so i suggest you stop this behavior real soon or I'm going to call the police immediatley

  • Damn, this is good!

  • deos he have a perfect pitch.?

cause he is playing like he has one.. ;)

  • @hintegab no he's just very naturally talented

  • im only 17, but someday i do want to get married.

so when i do, please come to my wedding and play this.

i dont know when its going to be, but im pretty sure youll be hella famous

    :)

  • From my point of view, one of the best in your series of Canon improvisation you have, Kyle. Thank you.

  • Great improv! Truly well done....Thank you for sharing your talent with us all

  • The Best Cannon.

  • @MrStevemyname you would bottle up Kyle Landry against his own free will? what the hell is wrong with you!!!

  • Beautiful :)

  • My favorite part 5:20 - 5:35

  • Your best so far hands down ! What a great piece of work. Your name will be on the dictionary one day :)

  • Wouaaah I love it ^^

  • HAHA i was like number 700

  • hey Kyle can you do a Q&A via Twitter/Facebook and then post your answers in a YouTube Video?? Sherry and Lara have both did it, now it's your turn!!! : - ) <333

  • this one sucks it's not even fast

  • @charliebucket47 Sometimes, the best music isn't "fast"...

  • @TenAlt011 ya but even i can play this

  • @charliebucket47 then i wonder if you can come up with these new keys like kyle and sound good. kyle isn't just playing by looking at sheets. kyle improvises these pieces on spot. let's see you coming up with your own version and sound great like kyle's.

  • @davidcho57 i never said i could i just said i could easily play it as good if i had sheets for it. and it's not like he's "better" because he can improvise it. improvising is a gift, it's not something you get better and better at really. u can to a point, but, there's thousands of professionals out there and none of them come close to how well Kyle improvises. It's not like Kyle sits and practices improvising 8 hours a day. it comes to him naturally. so u can't compare me to natural talent....

  • @charliebucket47 Improvising is something you can get better at. I think it's unfair to people like Kyle when you attribute his skills to just talent, ignoring the countless hours of study and practice he's put in. If you don't spend anywhere near the time he does practicing, how can you expect to be half as good? In fact, how can you expect to _know_ how much is work and talent?

  • @amara01addis then how do you explain the fact he's 21, and better than most professionals on earth at improvising... and by the way, on his forums he even said quote: "Ha I'm out with friends a lot more than I play piano!! I don't get a chance to play everyday you know!"

  • @charliebucket47 clearly you have never studied music theory

  • @tryianid explain then music theorist... I'd love to hear.

  • @charliebucket47 music doesn't have to be "fast" or "hard to play" to be beautiful, you must be a total noob when it comes to music.

  • @bubbleren yes it does, otherwise it sucks. you're the noob

  • @charliebucket47 So, you're saying that those popular Disney music sucks? Like "A Whole New World," "Beauty and the Beast," or "Colors of the Wind?" Or, "Zelda's Lullaby" from L.O.Z. O.O.T.? Or "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts? Cause that's some of the most beautiful music that I've ever heard.

  • @cowzilla8 only if it's fast it's good. if it's not fast it sucks. every musician knows that.

  • @charliebucket47 I'm a musician, but I don't think that that's true, and I know that many others agree with me.

  • @cowzilla8 yeah it is true liar

  • @charliebucket47 Think what you will, but I'm just telling you that millions of others will disagree with you, even musicians and composers.

  • @cowzilla8 liar pants on fire

  • @charliebucket47 The heck, are you 2 or 3 years old? Cause you sure act like one.

  • @charliebucket47

lol i was writing bigg ass comment but still now i think, there is no point correcting u ;)

  • @MultiMusicMind stfu dickface

  • @charliebucket47 see that just prove my point ;)

  • success, if that was a measure for something which take my attention to

  • Beautiful!!!

  • my favorite canon improvisation of yours yet!!! :) loved it!

  • Hey Kyle, if you don't mind me asking, how do you make your keyboard sound so clean? It has no air fuzzies or background sound effects. Just pure piano! ...

  • @calebthellama The output sound of the piano is connected to his camera so you hear only the sound of the piano.

  • @calebthellama He recording music on computer, then he put this music on video

  • @calebthellama The piano plugs in to the computer, allowing him to record a pure midi file, I think :3

  • Why don't you put more tags to your video? It's like you only want your subscribers to be able to hear it.

  • Kyle Landry, I would so buy you a drink if I saw you at a bar.

Also - I really like the key switches in this one!

  • please you should say hey to people because it doesn't feel right when you just play the

piano with out a introduction or a greeting =]

  • Someone needs to transcribe this, it needs to be heard, it's a true masterpiece!

  • GSUSA Transgender Response?

  • "Canon" is, for me, one of my favorite classical pieces (and I know a LOT of them as I was a concert classical guitarist before cancer hit). One of the items on my "bucket list" is to hear as many of your improvs around this piece as you publish. You're a play list on my iPod. :-)

I love your improvs (and I don't usually use the word "love" because I attach great meaning to that word) centered around Canon. Each is unique, you always play with emotion and you are a wonderfully skilled pianist.

  • @sandrews623 What's your favorite Canon impov. of his? Mine is no12 - Presto.

  • @Kuvter Picking 1 favorite is impossible for me. Emotion & different styles he chooses to use vary so widely.

No. 8 is the perfect blend of skill & emotion;15 connects on a level with me & I don't even think of technique; 5 has a continuity of 1 style mostly; 10 has an almost casual feel. Since I tend to like a more fluid style, I like 12 but wouldn't put it in my "top 10" list.

I could find something in each appealing. So picking a fav. is hard. Probably a tie between 5, 8 &15.

  • @sandrews623 I agree about 15. I kinda feel the same way about 12. All of them seem to have ups and downs to them. Sorta like the song is having a mood swing, but when it comes to music that's a beautiful thing. You can't just listen to part of the piece, you have to listen to it as a whole.

I listened to 12 over ten times one night while working a night shift. It invigorated me to make it through the shift. I've loved it ever since. Maybe it's that connection that made me love it more.

  • @Kuvter mine is no 11 - Jumpy Johann. Man I listened to it right before an exam and I can tell you, during the whole exam this improvisation was stuck in my head! I couldn't sit still, I sometimes wrote in rhythm, I just had fun during the exam.

  • @Dioscuri90 I've listened to music that I love, while studying, specifically because I can easily get the song back into my head while taking the exam and hopefully use some photographic-type memory to see the information I was studying from while listening to it.

  • @sandrews623 Thats amazing, Do you think you can upload some videos of you playing back in the day, I think I would enjoy seeing that :3

  • You should play Song of Healing from Zelda: Majora's Mask.

  • Prachtig gespeeld,met veel gevoel,erg mooi!

Bedankt voor' t delen van deze melodie.....

Toepasselijke tekst! (Beautiful played) Thank you!!!

    Gr.Ton

  • @MrAnthonieify Kyle is not dutch...

  • @bubbleren yeah he is liar

  • what's with the video you're responding to..? o.0

  • muy relajante!!!

  • After being the worst piano student of 10 years, I sometimes wonder what I can achieve if I pursue music. You sir, are the epitome of what a human can achieve at music.

  • I've been waiting for another improvisation of Canon for a long time! thanks Kyle

  • play at my wedding =]

  • This is amazing! Keep doing what you do!!! <3

  • mahoosive hands

  • You can never play Dearly Beloved too much Kyle!! It is part of YOU!!!

  • Kyle you are my god piano and nothing is better without your playing. I thank from my heart and every day I look forward to the next record. Health from the Czech republic. Tom

  • You are the next Jim Brickman, there is no denying.

  • @CasusUniversum No. He is Kyle Landry.

  • If i could buy talent ....

  • Next up...Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts week!!! please...

  • Disney/Canon week...AWESOME!!! 8D

  • thats amazing....

  • No matter what i say on kyles videos i Will never get a reply from him as usual- F Me gently this was incredible if talent came at a cost for this sort i would put price tag as-cash can't buy

  • @ryanspianoaccount Why is it so important to get a reply from him himself? Isn't it enough to just listen to the music and say what you think about the video? =)

  • Lol. "This is to all of those close-minded bigots who discriminate. Take that!"

I so like how Kyle uses his passion for piano to shape and mold people spirits like what he did to me. Thank you, Kyle.

  • kyle, if u belive the power of healling from songs,

    please make more immotional pices

you can make even more pwerfull pieces and make a change in this world

the time out ppl r getting from listening to this is priceless.

belive u can make a lifechangeing music - the rest will come by itself

  • i love your playing kyle

but why the volume is so low?!@

  • I feel like I have hope again!

  • I can't believe this.... So beautiful!

  • The only possible sentence with dearly beloved and too much on it it's: "There's no such thing as too much Dearly Beloved" :P

  • :') So amazing...

  • Man that's music, the music that comes from ur soul. Then is when u pass through our hearts :)

  • Who says you play "Dearly Beloved" too much? I don't think you play it enough! =) I'm just a little infatuated with your interpretations of "Canon" and "Dearly Beloved."

I agree with your title for this improv. It feels like something I would listen to when I want to cry and need someone to hold me--the music would be the arms that envelop me and make everything better by the end of it. =)

  • I wish this song has no end.. so that I can click play and just listen forever...

  • Several parts of the improv reminded me so much of Lonely (the intro especially), arguably one of my most favorite compositions from you. I think the resemblance is due to the fact that at their core, both are happy songs, just coated with more bittersweet melodies and harmonies.

I don't know why I haven't been entranced with your Canon improvs before, but this is one I really like a lot. Thanks for this take, it was very beautiful.

  • You should start composing pieces seriously and selling them. You will be famous before long and us, your youtube fans, will get bragging rights! :D

  • Oh my gosh, this is so beautiful :D and I can totally hear the Canon. I wish I could play like this T_T

  • Amazing. Simply. Amazing.

  • Kyle can you do a Duet with someone to the song 'Nero' by Two Steps From Hell! That would be so amazing!!!!

  • I'm pretty sure Kyle could make a death metal song sound beautiful on piano.

  • silly kyle, you don;t have haters

  • This isn't Disney.

  • @MilesEques Who said it is?

  • @TheRedSpade1 Eh. He mentioned Disney Week on the description of one of his other videos. It got me excited, but I'm not all that fond of his canon improvs, so this was a bit of a downer for me.

  • kyle it would be sweet if you answered this. when you first started piano, were you an automatic natural? or did it take time. sometimes i feel like i'm good, and then other times i feel like wow i wish i could be better. thoughts anyone?

  • @mok5000 Everything takes time. Granted, some do start off better than others, but if you truly love the instrument and have a passion for it, you can and will go far. <- (Usually what Kyle says to most who ask the question :)

  • @pocoyoeatspajarito alright thanks. it is m 3rd month in piano and i am playing tifas theme for my recital next week. idk if that is good for my skill level ( what level the song is). but thanks for reply bro.

  • @mok5000 No problem :)

Always try to play pieces that challenge you.

  • Just keep working. :)

  • You are brilliant, gifted and there is no end to your talent. Where ever you choose to take your career, recognition and success will come to you. Be wise. Be humble. And please share your gift with us and the future. R.

  • this reminds me of clouds and twilight not that dumb movie. reminds me of being high above in the sky awesome job man

  • Canon my favourite "improv" piece. Lovely to sit down and just play it however you want!

  • there is some pachelbel in it i like ,love this improv !

  • please do bells of notre dame!

  • love the key change from C to D! love the whole thing! fantastic work

My canon improves never sound this good :(

  • Comment removed

  • Love it...

  • Two people are deaf and probably jealous and just bitter.lol Keep playing it when you feel it inside Josh...

  • Hi Kyle. This was very very nice friend. I don't know why but I thought of my dear Linda when you played this. I smiled and cried a bit but I loved it. I do miss her so. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with me tonight. God bless.

    Frank

  • I love it how Canon is my FAVOURITE piece of all the time, and you seem to love it too... Love your improvisations. You're the reason I can't stop regretting I quit my piano lessons few years ago. And now I think i'm too old

  • @Maris90 Learning to play the piano has no age limits. I have a 75 years old student, he just learned "The sounds of Silence", he loves it and he, being way older than me, has taught me more than I have taught him.

  • Wow! This is the best canon arrangement since Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas Canon Rock! Nice work!

  • So beautiful I want to cry tears of joy.

  • "Not sure why, but this always happens way past my bedtime, to the point where I am nearly nocturnal on the days I do not have a responsibility in the morning."

SO TRUE! I normally get to sleeping around 00:30 but at 2:00 am i play a thousand times better then through the day.

  • You possess one of those rare abilities to make everything sound beautiful. Don't ever stop playing.

  • At some parts it ounds like the entry od dragon ball GT ;]
