he was definitely, at least for me the best player on yesterday's Manchester derby, he was so cool and patient whenever he had the ball , creating chances, controlling the game. As for me one of the most underrated players nowadays. Glory Man utd!
at the start people had high hopes of carrick sayin he is the new roy keane he had a shaky start but he's now lookin more like the new keane if he keeps on scorin fantastic goals and puttin in great passes and crosses he'll be a great part in the manchester united team like roy did!
What? He's nothing like Keane. Defensively, Keane will always be eons ahead of him. Even Carricks passing is not what it was in his time at Spurs as he is far too cautious now.
If Hargreaves was fit for long enough to get a run of games, there's no question he'd be first choice out of the two to partner Scholes. He is by far and away the better defensive mdfielder.

So you think Carrick is in a similar mold to Keane then? Carrick is very accomplished at making interceptions and reading the play, but as I say, Keane was a class apart defensively.
As For Hargreaves, it's much the same. His ability to cope with the best attacking players in Europe is something Carrick struggles with at times. In one on one situations, Hargreaves is far more adept.
im not saying he isn't but carrick is a better player. He is two-footed which scholes is not, he can tackle which scholes can't and at the moment i think carricks scoring more goals than him.
Carrick is improving all the time and is a quality player, but Scholes up there among the greatest midfielders of all time, just ask Bobby Charlton. Carrick's improvement is most likely down to playing with the pass master in training every day.
The think is there both brilliant players, Scholes is more of an attacking midfielder, carrick is more defensive, Carrick is my favorite player for united, Scholes is still good, but not as good as he use to be, Carrick is at his prime right now, he joined at his prime, Scholes has been there his whole career, i cannot say which is better coz they are both brilliant players
tho ppl think scholes is better, u cant compare the 2, lately scholes has adapted a more central and defensive role, but in his younger years he would attack much more often, so in my opinion, the 2 work extremely well together both in attacking and defending

Scholes - 588 apps, 140 goals, 1 in 4.2
Carrick - 125 apps, 10 goals, 1 in 12.5
