Ive got mine up and running, but i cant get it to consistently boot. It only shows up the internal hdd on odd occasions. What bootloader do you use as im hoping this is the only problem?
@ProphetGeek33 I used iboot and retail disc first time, but it would only boot like once a day from internal hdd. I then used netbookmaker on my existing installation to install the bootloader and extensions but it made sound not work and it still wouldnt boot internally. Did you do anything to bios besides change boot order?
You have to get atutorial going as I have the same laptop and have been trying everything to get snow leopard on it. Are you using a retail dvd? If so, which one and how, how, how? I just can't get it going. Any advise would help. Thanks!

hey man, i got the dv6000 (6653cl) and i got everything working and installed to voodoo hda kexts and sound works great. my only problem is the webcam. when i open photobooth the blue light on the webcam comes on, but theres no video, and when i go to the camera options it sees "HP Webcam" but it doesnt work on photobooth or skype. but id like to mention my frind told me went to this website called chatroullette and the webcam works great on that website but on any programs or anything it doesnt
@shareital look at my other vid you need a retail snow leopard disc then after you install snow leopard type 10.6.6 combo update in google bar and at the top you can download the update for free from their site
My wifi already worked after install it depends in if your wifi card is compatible with snow leopard if you'll have to replace it but I suggest just buy a USB wireless N adapter
@Sha12333 always open for a little help my life just been a little rocky lately and yes people iatkos s3 works great also but using Dell mini method is a lot quicker and doesn't need custom install but iatkos s3 is the best of all the install disc I've ever used it works on lots of PCs

what install method did you use? i have a dv6-3025dx and a copy of ideneb for 10.5.7 but i would rather install snow leopard. i haven't tried it out though. I am wodnering if i will have problems or not because it has an amd processor.
What is your graphics card? will this work under the intel gma 950?

@pokothehobo download iatkos s3 v2 and install it costumize the install and choose youre kext of youre laptop.
