thats a super nice video! apart from the shakeyness of it :p i was wondering if it would work on my Canon HV30. The thread on the HV30 is 43mm. and i was also wondering how far away you were to the subject?

yeah its pretty impressive, I am not sure if it would work on you canon, I would look around in forums... I was pretty close to the subject, like an inch or two. Spring is here so I'm planning on taking the camera out again and try to make less shaky videos :D

actually i just made another video today, and I was 5-6 inches from the subject... sorry about that it had been a long time since I had used it. Check out the new vid, the camera is a lot more stable.

It has been a while since I made this video but I am pretty sure I was using the optical zoom (which is 20x on my camera), maybe that is why it looks more close up. It was really hard to find the focus plane but with time and patience I was able to find it.

Just google Lensmate SX10

Filter Adapter 58mm.. that'll take you to the lensmate site, the adapter gives you a 58mm ring (its cool because it also gives you the ability to use a filter). Then, the Raynox lens includes a snap-on universal mount suitable for 52mm to 67mm filter size.

1 more question, i can buy the raynox filter a side from the lensmate adapter, coz i already ordered the adapter u said from lensmate, but i was wondering if i will buy it from any other site, if it fits the same adapter...??

as long as its a 58mm thread it will fit the lensmate. Macro lenses, Wide Andle lenses, filters, whatever. jeust makes sure its 58mm

Sorry to interupt, but I have to say that I got an universal adapter for free when I bought my DCR-250, and it works perfectly with my SX1 IS.

Maybe it differs from where you buy it...

the macro allows you to explore a sometimes forgotten world of macro photography. It allows you to take extreme closeups of anything, I have some shots of polen where you can see the individual grains, its amazing!! You can get the raynox dcr-250 conversion macro lens which adapts easily to your SX10. have fun!

hello , i have just purchased the dcr 250 and when i tested it with lens 18-105 (not macro) the lens kit that comes with the D90 kit , it doesnt close up its like normal lens any suggestions ?
