Bought this in 91 and its still quality because i didnt get the chance to spin it often, because the places i played at didnt understand this kind of music at that time...Shame!
today, the younger generation would lough, if they would hear you calling this hardcore :(.
but i know, waht you mean.for me, it is also more hardcore than any kind of that modern stuff. today´s youth even cannot understand the hardcore-feeling from that days...but to their disadvantage :D
Who were Newman/Wells? Did they go by any other names. It's just that base it brings many memories flooding back. I've never heard this mix before. The one I was used to reminded me of old cars starting up on a cold winters day!
If you are referring to Auriole as the "The girl died tho' ", I can assure you she is alive and kicking and is a choreographer working for a local theatre group.
@Westhamsterdam also G.T.O as in the makers of probably one of the best dance track intos ever made in the track 'pure' its on the tube so search it out.
woaha.. classic rave track from the early 90's.. Used to hear this played at the back of the Palace in Melbourne back in 91. Friday nights - Pure

Now that's a belter - Durrrrrty bass and a simple yet savage snare. Classic Stab there too.
