Hey Leo I believe you will for sure love this shotgun when you get the hogue pistol grip on it and the front grip. I have shot these before and the recoil is a bit stiff if you are shooting the 00 buck shot. I would shoot the federal tactical 00 in it for practice and carry the hornady rounds for self protection

Thanks for the advice. I'm really itching to fire this thing to finally get a feel for it. I probably will only shoot the target loads at the range with a few of those hornady just to get a feel for them.

I think Houge makes a grip cover that reduces the recoil of this gun.

I think I will just add a conventional Mossberg 500 stock with a nice recoil pad and use it that way.
