It can be considered garbage, but just because people watch this does not mean they are sadistic or evil. People watch movies to feel emotions they otherwise would not feel. We don't watch sad movies because we like crying or being sad. We don't watch scary movies because we like being terrorfied. And we don't watch violence because we like seeing people die. Same goes for this movie. It brings out a feeling of fear-cringing, nervousness and other weird emotions we otherwise would not feel.

Great reply, thanks for being so awesome about that. You are one in a million whereas most others just have bad taste. I like horror movies when they are done right, like "Others", 28 Days Later, Saw#1, Pumpkin-Head#1, Jeepers Creepers, etc. But this movie is trying too hard, and it really shows.

I usually hate subtitles also, but it's so crazy amazing that I barely noticed I was reading. This film is my top horror movie right now. I never thought I would say that about a foreign film. It got an NC17 rating for the violence.

I love french horror. like High Tension! this is going to be French hostel pretty much. Hate to say it but it is. Hostel is one of my favorite horror movies. But I do think this will bring a whole new level to the smut-horror scene
