like your videos just started watching. game chasers sent me. but i have to say. couldnt believe ocarina of time wasnt number one or at least in top ten. this was first i watched so im sure its higher up in list. but i just cant see how 2 arcade games like ms pac man and donkey kong, which are very simple, could beat such an engrossing, game that was way before its time. and especially ROCK BAND. haha. could have been a sign of the times. no hating. everyone has their own opinion. just curious

i found your list to be pretty good.your opinions were similar to mine minus the plethora of rpg's. i would've included kid chameleon for the sega. timesplitters 2 for the ps2.any of the first 3 resident evil games because the newer ones became less scary,too linear,and just more of an adventure game instead of a survival horror.the other games i wouldve included would be: conkers bad fur day,star wars battlefront 2,and any of the devil may cry games.otherwise,i found this to be a good list

@toot1231 don't get me wrong, it's not really a crap game, just a crap zelda game, considering the standards of it's successors. Then again, every zelda uses it's same formula, so it DID get it right, it's just that later zeldas made that formula a billion times better
Ok, seriously dude, you need to play some game made in the last 10 years because you're living in the bloody past here. Sure most of those games are great, but gaming has got better with age and quite frankly you're nostalgia does not a great game make.

@TornadoCreator I'm certain Gamester81 has played games made in the last 10 years, but this is his personal top 100 games of all time (And quite a good one at that). I'd say make a top 100 yourself but judging from your response it would be short sighted, pretentous and unwatchable.
I would happily make my own top 100 if I had the viewership that Gamester81 has but I've hardly got a decent number of subs to spend time writing up a list. My issue isn't that the games he chose are bad, just that he's vastly overrating them. There are almost no current gen games on his list, and while I understand he's a retro gamer. People who insist retro games are better are simply wrong. Gaming has improved across the board, he's simply not recognising this progress.
@TornadoCreator Actually the only thing that has improved are graphics. In most cases there has actually been a regression, due to gaming becoming more mainstream.
@destroyer56305 Because Call of Duty Modern Warface 2 is basically a map pack for Modern Warfare, which itself was a fairly generic fps. Pong on the otherhand was one of the first video games ever made and many people's first experiences with video games. If you love Modern Warfare 2, in twenty years time some kid will be wondering why so many people put Modern Warfare 2 in their top 100 when you can play Modern Warfare 697 Neural Net Processing Edition.

highly disagree- Get out of the past. But it all depends on the criteria you are using to determine a great game. If you are talking about player immersion, emotion, cinematography, graphical and physics engines... your list is way off. If you are talking about the founding fathers of games, then ok. But just because something is "classic" doesnt make it great. Your video should be called "top 10 classic games"

You got so many games right in the top 100. But, How in the heck you you missed Dracula X for the PC Engine though is beyond me. I take it you weren't much of a shooter guy either, because i didn't see anything like Thunderforce III or Gaires(Genesis) Or Gate/ Lord's of Thunder (Turbo DUO). Fabulous games that would be in my top 20! I'd also have Strider (arcade/psone), Final Fight, Rastan (Arcade), Contra III & Super Castlevania IV (SNES). Oh and Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion Genesis!
I enjoyed watching your top 100 games of all time videos. I was a bit disappointed to not see any DOS games on there, like Lemmings or Commander Keen. Great list all together though. I don't know if I could pick 100 games, but maybe a top 20. I like RPG's to, but I'm more of a racing game fan..although Fallout 3 has got me going back lol. I used to play FFX on PS2 & the online game Runescape, but those got boring for me. For FO3 I think it's the open world and level of detail that gets me.

I just cant's stand people calling Final Fantasy and RPG anymore. It's a turn based adventure game. Any game where you play predetermined characters in a preset storyline is an adventure game. Stat building and turn based combat doesn't make it an RPG. Ultima, Morrowind, and the like are RPG's. Games where you create your own character and then based on the decisions you make during the gameplay your own story in the game world.
great list half life 1 and 2 should be WAY higher tho they should at least be top 20 if not top 5 almost ever other list like this has them in the top 10
@backwoodsmods Yeah, i think so too. Games should be fun and some "pause" from real life realism and all, but sometimes, to tell a story (like GTA IV or Mafia, etc.) you need a dose of realism :P But yeah, flying out of your car through the windshield and dying few times in a row this way can be frustrating sometimes XD
I actually think it's the worst. Although it does give a lot of freedom, it completely sucks storywise imho... and the climate doesn't fit my tastes :P I preffer GTA4 (for it's story and climate) or Vice City (climate).

wow.. yes,you really like older games, but i'm extremely surpised, that there is no Zelda Majoras Mask or Zelda Ocarina of Time. I did like your list however, it was differant than most online lists that base games on popularity.

I pretty sure you forgot this one dude.. if you havent played it pick it up on arcade, I think there was a port on the Commodore Amiga.. but yeah its PANG!... if you havent played it or dont have it do yourself a favour and pick it up its such a fun game!

I guess you are really into old school games, which is perfect and understandable, but i dont know man, mrs . pacman? I respect you and all but , Mrs. pacman wouldn't be in my top 10000 list of best games, but I guess thats only because for me thats more like a cellphone game than a real game, I was also born in a diferent era than you so I guess we gave diferent tastes, it just suprised me mrs. pacman was so close to #1 thats all, good work!!! much love

Gamester big fan of your Top 100 Games of all time video.I did notice one thing in your top 100 that stood out at least to me and im not saying this to critic you im saying this on my opinion but i saw u didnt have survival horror.#54 on ur list was Resident Evil 4 big fan of it great game more of a action game though still had thrills though.But later in ur list i never saw Resident Evil 2.Resident Evil 2 or even Silent Hill deserve a spot i personally think.Reply with ur comment please. I would like to recomment some games to you for the Sega Genesis
1. The Story of Thor: Its like Zelda for SNES but i like the graphics a bit more and the gameplay is more action based
2. ToeJam and Earl 2: is a Jump N Run for 2 Players and it has very good graphics and a great Hip Hop soundtrack
3. Comics Zone: is a Side Scroller Beat em Up were you actually walk through a Comic its amazing

I disagree with the first zelda being in the list, as it was crap imo. Link's Awakening would have been a better choice I think, but that's just imo. Good list. :)

Ok, seriously dude, you need to play some game made in the last 10 years because you're living in the bloody past here. Sure most of those games are great, but gaming has got better with age and quite frankly you're nostalgia does not a great game make.

@TornadoCreator I'm certain Gamester81 has played games made in the last 10 years, but this is his personal top 100 games of all time (And quite a good one at that). I'd say make a top 100 yourself but judging from your response it would be short sighted, pretentous and unwatchable.

I would happily make my own top 100 if I had the viewership that Gamester81 has but I've hardly got a decent number of subs to spend time writing up a list. My issue isn't that the games he chose are bad, just that he's vastly overrating them. There are almost no current gen games on his list, and while I understand he's a retro gamer. People who insist retro games are better are simply wrong. Gaming has improved across the board, he's simply not recognising this progress.

@destroyer56305 Because Call of Duty Modern Warface 2 is basically a map pack for Modern Warfare, which itself was a fairly generic fps. Pong on the otherhand was one of the first video games ever made and many people's first experiences with video games. If you love Modern Warfare 2, in twenty years time some kid will be wondering why so many people put Modern Warfare 2 in their top 100 when you can play Modern Warfare 697 Neural Net Processing Edition.

highly disagree- Get out of the past. But it all depends on the criteria you are using to determine a great game. If you are talking about player immersion, emotion, cinematography, graphical and physics engines... your list is way off. If you are talking about the founding fathers of games, then ok. But just because something is "classic" doesnt make it great. Your video should be called "top 10 classic games"

You got so many games right in the top 100. But, How in the heck you you missed Dracula X for the PC Engine though is beyond me. I take it you weren't much of a shooter guy either, because i didn't see anything like Thunderforce III or Gaires(Genesis) Or Gate/ Lord's of Thunder (Turbo DUO). Fabulous games that would be in my top 20! I'd also have Strider (arcade/psone), Final Fight, Rastan (Arcade), Contra III & Super Castlevania IV (SNES). Oh and Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion Genesis!

I enjoyed watching your top 100 games of all time videos. I was a bit disappointed to not see any DOS games on there, like Lemmings or Commander Keen. Great list all together though. I don't know if I could pick 100 games, but maybe a top 20. I like RPG's to, but I'm more of a racing game fan..although Fallout 3 has got me going back lol. I used to play FFX on PS2 & the online game Runescape, but those got boring for me. For FO3 I think it's the open world and level of detail that gets me.

I just cant's stand people calling Final Fantasy and RPG anymore. It's a turn based adventure game. Any game where you play predetermined characters in a preset storyline is an adventure game. Stat building and turn based combat doesn't make it an RPG. Ultima, Morrowind, and the like are RPG's. Games where you create your own character and then based on the decisions you make during the gameplay your own story in the game world.

@backwoodsmods Yeah, i think so too. Games should be fun and some "pause" from real life realism and all, but sometimes, to tell a story (like GTA IV or Mafia, etc.) you need a dose of realism :P But yeah, flying out of your car through the windshield and dying few times in a row this way can be frustrating sometimes XD

I actually think it's the worst. Although it does give a lot of freedom, it completely sucks storywise imho... and the climate doesn't fit my tastes :P I preffer GTA4 (for it's story and climate) or Vice City (climate).
But still, everyone has their own tastes :D
