I have two sons. My 15 year old has just now been diagnosed with fragile x. We have searched for years. We suspect my 24 years old is fragile x also. We will test soon. They are both amazing. I love them dearly.

"fragile x every family has a story..." will be screening at the Manitoba Council For Exceptional Children Conference, Feb. 20/09 at 1:00pm at the Victoria Inn, Winnipeg Manitoba.
I have a three year old son with fragile x syndrome, he hasn't spoken a word, he communicates by pointing to what he wants. he's a sweet little boy, very loving and funny. He has a smile that will melt your heart. I'm glad to see some positve responses to this story, as for the negative ones, if you could only be in our shoes..
Thank you for your comment. I work with teenagers as well as adults with Fragile X, and I can tell you they are great people. What they lack in certain aspects, they make up for by having a beautiful heart and soul.
Many so called "normal people," could learn a lot from them.
Thank you for your positive comment, I got a real negative one last nite from someone named, NicolasKen, he told me if I had fragile x, I should kill myself. I was wondering if you could ban people for saying horrible things like that?
love him accept him as he is, disabled people is a race/culture of peole we need accepted respect and value we nit broke, ill or imperfect, we just different
autism acceptance project, and many many others i know so many disability pride ;-)
This family is like watching a Reality TV show, unfortunately they are not acting, this is everyday life for them. Looking forward to seeing an amazing video from Neale and Achorn.
wow, I'd love to see this documentry. I feel for the woman, looking after people with Fragile-X can be really hard. My best friend has it and its really hard to understand her sometimes and deal with stuff that should be easy but because of fragile x its really hard.
