  • nice :)

  • i also have a evo 10 but i try to hand-brake turn but i drift over shot

  • wow

  • that was the best ive seen

  • niceee

  • I too have an early Evo and compete in what I would term as streetcar time trials - no racing prep needed, but speeds do get pretty high.

I was wondering if one can potentially harm the Centre Differential or perhaps the Viscous Coupling Unit (or perhaps both) by using the handbrake to initiate hairpin turns like that? I know that in a RWD you push the clutch in in order to disconnect the engine. But with our AWD the two ends are still linked together by the Centre Diff/V.C.U.

    Thanks!

  • There would be some amount of load on the center viscous but certainly far less than the amount of slipage experienced when wheel spinning away from a start etc. Rarely does an Evo spin all 4 wheels.. usually just the front unless the raliart CVC is installed.. I certainly have not seen a single failure during a hand brake turn. It seems to be wheel spin on grass etc that kills them.

  • that was such a good, clean, fast turn. nice work. I wish I could do mine so smoothly. Maybe a rwd car would help :)

  • do a scandinavian flick

  • that's just perfect!!!!!! bravo!!!!

  • Perfect!

  • My daddy was really good at shit like that on a single lane road, here in town. Maybe that's whats next for you? Great car, and great turn. Cheers.
