I just got this game yesterday for a budget price :) (since its already a few years old) I was disappointed to see that it has gotten so many bad reviews. I like the game quite a lot myself. It may not be a classic or a perfect 10, but its an enjoyable hack n slash adventure if you ask me. The critics get to play ALL the new games all the time and I really think that makes them a little spoiled and quick to burn a game sometimes, when its actually just a solid fun game..
