As governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee had a hand in TWICE as many pardons and commutations as his three predecessors combined.
Huckabee granted 1,033 pardons and commutations in his 10 1/2 years as governor of Arkansas. Bill Clinton, Frank White and Tucker granted 507 clemencies in the 17 1/2 years they served as governor.
During his years as governor, Huckabee granted clemency an average of about once every four days.

That rape story is appallling. I mean, I knew the Huckster was a liar just by the way he talks (Oh yea, and seeing old video of him praising increases in taxes, etc.), but this is HORRIBLE! He releases this scumbag who any law abiding citizen would have happily shot, and he rapes and kills again! And, after the victims told him he would!
This story is truly sad...and should do Huckabee in for good!

He didn't let him out of jail, moron. The people that commuted his sentence was Bill Clinton and Jim Guy Tucker. For a crime he committed in 1985 , and being behind bars until 1999 is a justifiable amount of time for a crime like rape. This would be a non-issue for all the other criminals who serve time, then get out of jail, and committ a crime again. This has nothing whatsoever to do with huckabee. Clinton and Jim Guy Tucker left it for the next guy to deal with which was Mike Huckabee.

Get it straight moron, Clinton was running for President at the time and Jim Guy Tucker was acting Governor. He commuted the life+20 sentence to 39 years that allowed for the parole hearing. Huckabee's evangelical base had been calling for DuMond's release for years because the victim was related to Clinton.

Why do you think this guy got life plus 20 years? Why was he castrated? The reason for ths harsh sentence was BECAUSE the victim was related to Clinton. How many other rapists do you know that get castrated? That get life plus 20 years.

Ok Life plus 20 maybe but are you really saying that the sitting Governor had an accused rapist castrated in his house??? The question of self-castration came up during the investigation of his attack as there was no evidence of a struggle or of his being restrained. So did Clinton frame him or set up Huckabee over the parole?

Your description is incorrect, Huckabee Denied clemency and had no hand in the release as governor's have no control over parole.
The parole board waited until after not being re chosen for their jobs and for an election year.
