what qualities do you need to be a goalie? Seems to me like all you need to be is fat

@Ickypoo47 there's really only been one or two professional lacrosse goalies that were fat. it's the same as if you look at a hockey goalie, they all look fat but most of them arent over 220. and as for qualities you need explosive leg strength for quick passes, you need excellent hand/eye coordination as well as top notch reflexes. and the hardest quality to master is to be able to hit any spot on the floor with a pass with a stick 6 times bigger than a regular stick

my dad played box lax 4 the peterborugh lakers for 13 years and in the nll 4 the pittisbugh bulls and baltimore thunder and phildelphia wings(which dont exsist anymore beause they folded oh and my dad was a goalie) anyways i play rep 4the clarington green gaels as a goalie and played my fist year of field and have to say that field is a bit mor harder then box.but i problly think that because i am better at box then i am field and hat it is my 8th years of box i am only 12 i am not trying 2 brag

Box Lacrosse is a tough sport, I suggest you try and play in Canada and see how far you go. Hurling is also a great sport, I don't see where this petty conflict is coming from. They're both two of the most brutal and unrelenting games ever conceived.

ive been least goals allowed and best save% for like 2 years in a row but then again i have to play midget/bantam B because my association isnt large enough. this year ive let 5 goals in 3 games so far but i think were finally going to go A1, so they werent very challenging games like 25 shots each game, 2 or 1 goal allowed not amazing but i didnt have to play amazing.

Ya my club is too small for A so i'm midget B, but i had sooooo many shots on me last season cause my team knew i could handle them so they were mostly offence

it was like that for me last year, this year its kind of been a joke, i kinda like it we win i get some credit for break away saves cuz those happen even if u have a good team. but really looking forward to A and acually having to try my hardest.

wow in this game there are hella more people then there are in the other one. five more people showed up.lol at this rate the stands will be filled in a matter of years. tickets for the glass will have to be reserved a whole 2 days in advance. lol x6 gillion

I love playing but i hate how when the other team has taken 4 shots already and my team is still way down in there end...dont get me wrong i have a good team and i do love lacrosse but HELP your goalie at all costs, he/she cant save everything (although we would like to belive that lol)

aha yeah but we ended up winning everything, but i hated it cause they expected me to be able to do everything lol it was my first year playing lol and after the game i was like about to die :P

ya we got 3rd in the league but even without my guys helping i had the 2nd least goals against in the season. it was only my second year
