lol I used to work at Rona as many here claim. They put up a nice wholesome front but its such a shitty place to work, you are treated like shit by higher ups and, at least at my store, were crooked.
I actually looked up this video so I could refresh that hatred in my mind to make sure I never make the decision to work in retail ever again.
RONA has the WORST customer service of any Canadian company! I had a rona delivery truck drive over my front yard, i called rona and they sent out a guy to measure the tire tracks. He must be the rona csi for tire tracks. I have witnesses and still a week later rona refuses to fix the yard. Phoned customer service and was basically given the run around, basically in the end of the last call to customer service I was told I didnt want the yard fixed. They said the called a number of times, NOT.
and honeestly i think rona is shit compared to home depot and lowes we dont carry all the shit they do mainly appliances which is stupid if they want to keep up with them
im a CSA for the rona in whitby and i hate it mainly just because of it sometimes feels like im a janitor or i get bitched around other than that its ok
i've worked at RONA in Burnaby for 2 1/2 years now(my only job ever) and I love it. There are tons of places out there which pay better, but to me, i would rather work in a place i enjoy. The people i work with are friendly, i get to meet new people everyday, and i have developed relationships with a few "regulars". Everyday i go to work with a smile and say to myself, "Hey, today you get to be the person that someone trusts for help." and really, i couldnt ask for a better reason to go to work.
Rona in Leduc, Alberta is the worst building supply store I have ever been to. The employees must love it there, they don't do anything, are of no assistance to the customer and get paid to stand around and talk to each other.
I used to work at REVY just before it was purchased by RONA. After RONA took over, it was like we (the employees) didn't matter. Turnover is exceptionally high in the West. In one of the stores in Richmond, BC, they lost almost 90% of their employees 3 years after opening. We have a "hot" job market out here, but it was a case of employees leaving one menial job for another because of poor treatment and wages. But hey, how do you increase market share without keeping wages extremely low?
RONA was the best work environment I ever had as a student. You can choose your hours, you take breaks and lunch time when you want, people are nice and you learn alot. Rona was a great job, I really liked it.
i worked for rona when i was a student too but i dont remember any of those things! it was the opposite of everything you said, i guess every rona is different.
Yeah, I guess it depends... if you work in the paint section, I can only assume it's going to be different then if you work in the tools section...I think it's a great job for students and I had some good price on everything in the store.
Rona bought the store where I used to work and became really crappy working there. It was fun going to work before Rona got in the picture and a lot of good employees left because of that.
Wow what a nice piece to pad this guys ego, too bad he can't get Rona Cashiers to stay awake or get upc codes on products so that everytime you cash out you don't need a price check. 9 out of 10 contractors go to Depot because you will waste your time at a Rona, I like to help Canadian companies but Rona has just pissed me off too many times.
i used to work for one man the managers at the one i used to work at had there heads shoved so far up there ass they didnt realise what a shitty job they were doing like when a home depot was opening like 4 shops down they cut hours as much as possible put little to no assoicates on the floor n made it so no customers where gooing to be shopping there
It is not the concern of rona how you live. They are a private business offering a wage for labor trade which you are free to take or leave. you left it. why the bitterness?
you're right, like the old saying goes "if you don't like it quit," they didn't force me to work i went to them! But how much work do you expect a person to do for $8 an hour? i worked because i thought welfare was for lazy people but then i started to realize that welfare is for smart people. what's the point of working when i could of easily of gone on welfare and still made the same as working.
I love innovative people! Too bad the politicians are trying too shut it down in the U.S. Wealth envy, taxation (2% of top money earners pay 80% of the taxes)! Vote Republican, the original political party!!!

I love the musik in the backround.
Sounds kinda sunday picknic.
All the family coming together to enjoy fresh air and green gras.
How conveniant to lay such a feeling over an advertisment for a company that proly is responsible for making this planet a worse place than it is.
If not - why dont show openly how green you are.
ahhhhhhhhhh - what do i know.
I dont care i like the musik.

probly should tax the rest of the top Ten % that 80% then we could get rid of the debt.
dont the the top 10% have 70 % of what there is out there to have anyway?? i think they can afford it.
