Actually, the railroad from Brockway to Brookville was originally named the Brookville & Mahoning, but was renamed the Pittsburg & Shawmut. It was leased by the Pittsburg, Shawmut & Northern Ry, which paid for its construction (including the Dellwood bridge in 1907). The PS&N used Erie tracks from Hydes down to their portion of the Erie yard on the east end of Brockway. The P&S started at the SW corner of the Erie yard and followed Toby Creek to the bridge. The Erie never owned the bridge.
That must a be a fun ride for the conductor hanging on the fisrt car going over the trestle.

Wow!! When was this taken?? I' haven't seen a train cross that trestle for YEARS, but the cars driving by look fairly new

Just a few years ago. They still send trains up to the glass plant in Crenshaw and load coal near Walburn Run.
