Hey man nice video and my xbox didnt get red rings yet but i need to be prepared for it so i just have 1 question. DO THIS ONLY IF YOU CAN'T GET IT REPAIRED BY MS.

Opening up your xbox means cutting the seal that links both right and left parts of the white plastic shell of the console. If you open it, MS people will know, therefore they'll send the console back to you with no repairs, because you broke the warranty contract.

Use this technique only if you can't get your ass up and call a nice repairman.

I have both. If games are made for both platforms I buy the xbox version---better frame rates. But Uncharted 1 & 2 and other PS3 exclusives are amazing!! Also PS3 is the best blu-ray player.

Some of you guys are right stating that doing the X clamp fix does nothing thats only to help prevent RROD (Red Ring Of Death) Some of the problem lies within your mother boards software. Also It can be that hardware (Fan and/or heatsinks) I'v fixed some of these xbox 360's with RROD,2 red rings and E 74 error. Some RROD's can actually can be fixed by something very simple That Transfer set For xbox to your computer.(If you didnt know what that was) It can be that simple But only for some 360s

All this is, is the xclamp fix. Nothing special about it. It is not a permanent fix at all. You can buy repair kits on ebay for around $5. X-clamp fix will not work forever, just a few months, maybe more maybe less. This video sucks and is full of lies.

I love what this guy is doing in this video but he makes the same mistake that everyone else whos not in the "know" does. REPLACING THE XCLAMP DOES NOTHING!!!!! it is a waste of time. for one the motherboard doesn't "vibrate" from heat thats just retarded lol. the whole reason the system gets to hot is the speed of the fan and the crapy thermal compound thats put on them, which in fact there is barely even on the cpu or gpu when they ship them. everything else in the video good. towel trick nooo

I tried this with mine( out of warranty). Took the case off and stood it up. got a small tower fan and put next to what would be the bottom part about an inch away from it. It works great. The bottom part used to be so hot it burned. Now it is merely warm to the touch.

good video ive tried everything .. penny fix thermal paste on cpu and gpu ... and nothing ... well i think the penny shit fixed it but it heats up after 2 matches of a game .. so ima try this ..... i can now take my xbox apart in like 2 mins and x clambs in 2 sec haha ...u cant be scared or u will take the whole day taking it aprt..
