I'd rather have 4 black lotus, 1 guul draz vampire, 1 blood tribute, and 1 sanguine bond. Sac all black lotus, giving you 12 mana, play the vampire, leaving you with 11 mana, play the sanguine bond, leaving you with 6 mana, then play the blood tribute, leaving you with 0 mana, tap the vampire for the kicker, and your opponent loses half their life (10), and you gain 10 life, and because of sanguine bond, they lose another ten life, leaving them with 0. And then you ask:

"You wanna mulligan?" :P

@TheDuelPolice No. You pay the mana for Dark Ritual by tapping a swamp/whatever, and by playing dark ritual you have three black mana (as if you had tapped three swamps but in effect you've only tapped one)

Hence why dark ritual is a very highly ranked card in it's set.

Channel + Fireball is pretty good too, all you need is a Black Lotus and a Taiga to go along with it. I mean Nicol Bolas on turn one probably kills your opponent no matter what but makes him play through the first few turns before you kill him. This way you just straight up kill him turn 1. I'm not saying that this is a good idea. I'm against 1st turn or 2nd turn win combos. They aren't really possible in standard, are rarely in extended and Force of Will keeps things balanced in T1.

technicly every card has summoning sickness(even lands), however its only relivant if the permanant is a creature, either for purposes of declaring an attack, or using an activated ability with Tap in the activation cost on that creature.
