this film is bad!-i think that vivien leigh and gable will always be rhett and scarlett! however this video is well made the book scarlett is good in parts the best is the ending and when she's with cat!-and rhett
Thanks for making this, there is not much out there on this series. I saw this once and really enjoyed it.(Not as much as GWTW)I love Timothy Dalton in this as well. I have also read the book ,and agree about the ending.
The books really is better minus the ending. Halmark screwed alot of things up when they made the movie. However, the ending is 10 million times better in the movie than in the book. The ending in the book is silly and really dosn't give a sense of closure. The final shot in the movie is spectacular and its just such a happy ending :-)
Are you kidding me?? "Scarlett" is pure, sacrelige. Scarlett would never leave Georgia and move to Ireland after she practically sold herself to keep Tara. Not to mention that the book and the movie sucked without it being a disgrace as a sequel.
I agree completely. As a die-hard "Gone With the Wind" fan and a Georgian myself, I find this book and movie offensive. The only place Scarlett would go outside of Georgia would be to Charleston to get her man back. I think that everybody has their own story in their head of what happens after Rhett leaves her. It's too bad this is the story that got made into a book and movie. But to be fair, I'll say that by itself and with no affiliation with "GWTW", this movie would be okay.
Well, I can't say that I found it offensive, though some people have felt that Ripley took Scarlett out of that "slave holding society" that had been Georgia, (I am a Georgian too, btw), and sent her to Ireland to be more politically correct and attract a broader audience. This is ironic as Ripley herself was from Charleston.
I thought "The Wind Done Gone" laid out a pretty believable ending for Scarlett and Rhett's futures as Scarlett was kind of a tragic character to begin with. But there were several other glaring impossibilities, like Mammy killing Ellen and Gerald's three "stillborn" sons, Ellen being Mulatto and Ashley having a secret love affair with a black, male slave that ruined its shot at being a truly realistic sequel, obviously.
Pfft definitly no P&P...P&P had muccchhhhh better acting lol. Timothy Dalton had the best acting of the whole movie...that has to say something. Though you really should watch it. It's worth watching if you know what to fast forward/ignore :-)
Definately! Thats how I ended up watching it...actually I was sick and it was the only movie I had lying around that I hadn't seen yet lol. Hey by the way do you have an LJ? Your name looks strangly familiar.

I've never seen this movie, but it oddly reminds me of Pride and Prejudice. and pfft Timothy Dalton wishes he was Clark Gable.
