This test is inaccurate. It depends on your wifi networks capabilities, not the phones. A wifi network only allows a certain amount of data to flow threw at once, and when 2 devices try to transfer data at the exact same time it generally picks the path of least resistance (a.k.a whichever phone is closer to the router is usually, not always though, the one to be transferred first.

One will always load before the other over the same wifi connection because the data is prioritised and streamed by the router. That's not a fair test! As you can see: the Galaxy s won 2 out of 3 but the iphone still was faster on 1. Also notice that once one has finished loading the other catches up quickly. That's because the other had data priority and when it finished downloading, the other device was then next in line for the router.

@wisamsabbah1 clear your cache, i've tried both the iphone 4 and samsung galaxy s and the samsung loads web pages much faster. The samsung galaxy s actually has a faster processor, and iphone 4's processor is actually clocked at 800mhz, not 1 ghz, while galaxy's humming bird is 1ghz full power. The samsung galaxy s also has a lag fix that can increase the speed even more, then what it is already, almost 5x faster if the lag fix is done
i like the samsung galaxy S because of the new swype technology, laxar and 1ghz processor which means faster internet but the downside of it is has no flash and looks uglier than the iphone 4.....hmm very undecided...HELP ME!!

browser speed....thats it.... and your flawed browser speed at that. I just loaded nyt.com on my iphone having never ever been on it, must have been around 2-3 seconds to be fully loaded. Your network speed has more to do with their ability to load than the actual device mate. Tests like this are pointless.
These aren't good results for accuracy. I saw a video with much more views, better ratings and they had many more trials and a lot of accurate numbers. Not that i hate the iphone, i actually love it, but the Samsung GS was faster in its browser and it had less bugs then the apple browser and less bugs overall with all aspects of the phone. I know in ur video the samsung won but it wasn't too accurate. Great video though! :)
Samsung Galaxy S is a great cell phone. I am glad to retire the iphone that i had before the Galaxy S. The iphone was slow at loading web pages and so what it has a shiny back who really cares. Iphone look out Samsung going to kick your butt.

@Coliekokker I’m not vouching for apple, in fact I hate apple. I own an iPod touch and I have endless problems with itunes and the device in general. All I am saying is that this test cannot be deemed accurate and perhaps the galaxy could have performed better....

When you argue a PC is better than an Apple computer because for one it has got so many more applications than the Apple computer, the Apple fan says something like, "its not quantity but quality" or "the number of apps isn't that important". Now when the tables are turned the first thing they say is "the iPhone has more apps!" Within maybe a year android market will have more apps than apple app store!!!

Just so you know if it wasn't for Apple's business with Samsung about $7.8billion, then Samsung wouldn't be able to produce the Galaxy S, then couldn't afford to. Also all high end mobile processes used in all smart phones are designed by a company founded by Apple in 2000, Cortex. Just so you know, it isn't Samsung's product.

me and my co-workers did our own speed test and must say samsung won about 90+% of the time so i would have to say this test is pretty accurate, thanks for the review and looking foward for the full review as i am due for a new phone. i am a long time apple product user but the awesome super amoled and the speed of the Galaxy S is looking really good.

your wifi connection or isp connection is probably bad, makes the loading test really bad, it looks like both phones are waiting on network at different points ;)
what interest me most in the review is the picture/camera quality
@kangsterizer Yeah that kind of crossed my mind, But is have tested it loads off camera with the same result (even on 3G) I still think my ISP connection is awful! i will try again in a few days at another location and see if i get the same results, if i find a different result i will post a new video. @ConceptVBS well it depends what you are interested in. Samsung said they didn't really pay attention to the camera :( Just wondering how it turns out.
I currently have a N95 and I wouldn't settle for a lesser camera picture (its 5MP carl zeiss, but as you may know the final picture quality depends on a lot of things and this camera is 4 years old)
@kangsterizer Don't be fooled by specs, megapixels and Flash don't make a camera good , it's the sensor that does most of the work !
from what samples I've seen on youtube and review sites the Galaxy s seems to have the best camera of any Android device in market right now ,better than the EVO or the Droid

These tests mean nothing. I've seen videos of the Samsung loading pages faster etc.
Unless the webpage is stored locally, it's just not a fair test. Who's to say the iphone didnt utilise the router a milisecond quicker etc...
Probably better todo both individually and time it rather than at the same time. That still won't be accurate though.
I could name many contributing factors.
P.S. I have neither phone.

your wifi connection or isp connection is probably bad, makes the loading test really bad, it looks like both phones are waiting on network at different points ;)
what interest me most in the review is the picture/camera quality

@kangsterizer Yeah that kind of crossed my mind, But is have tested it loads off camera with the same result (even on 3G) I still think my ISP connection is awful! i will try again in a few days at another location and see if i get the same results, if i find a different result i will post a new video. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions for the review.

@ConceptVBS well it depends what you are interested in. Samsung said they didn't really pay attention to the camera :( Just wondering how it turns out.
I currently have a N95 and I wouldn't settle for a lesser camera picture (its 5MP carl zeiss, but as you may know the final picture quality depends on a lot of things and this camera is 4 years old)

@kangsterizer Don't be fooled by specs, megapixels and Flash don't make a camera good , it's the sensor that does most of the work !
from what samples I've seen on youtube and review sites the Galaxy s seems to have the best camera of any Android device in market right now ,better than the EVO or the Droid

There is no need for more testing.
I live in Germany, and in almost every Review the Galaxy S won against the Iphone4.
Wich isn't really suprising btw.
