I'm sorry, but I remember hating how the judges were so starstruck over her ("OMG and she's so young too!") and failed to give her much constructive criticism or even tell her when her performances just weren't good. I don't think there will be. I know Andrew Lloyd Webber said he wouldn't do another one. And maybe after three successive years it might be better to give it a rest for a couple of years or it might get to be like another big brother. And with 3 shows in London at the moment where the original cast were chosen by 'the public' (even if that cast aren't still performing in the show) London would be too full of public chosen shows.

Yes since I wrote that comment, I too have read in the paper that next year he will look for a Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Scheduled for next March if all goes to plan. All I can say is they will have to make it pretty damn spectacular for the Wizard of Oz to succeed as a long running west end show.

Actually she does all Idina advises her to do. The parts that were chosen for her to do as a solo don't allow her to use her full range vocally. The best bits of the song are in the duet sections. If you've seen wicked and seen how it should be performed then you will understand why she did it this way. Also taking it out of the show removes a few of the key effects. The storyline, the lighting and the build up are all lost as well. Andrew's face doesn't mean anything, the comments after do.

Actually i think she did superbly. If you have seen the show then it is pretty much how they do it. Obviously it will come across better actually sung in Wicked as you have all the costumes and atmosphere and more importantly the build up to the song. Sam Did everything that was asked of her and more. And she did the final bit without the back up cast or Glinda doing her part.

Seeing defying gravity as part of Wicked will blow you away and you can understand more why it is performed that way
