@manq211 One of the words used for God in the Torah is Elohim. That is a plural. The pluriformity of this word doesn't mean Jewish people worship(ped) more than one God. The same goes for the christian Trinity, who are not 3 Gods, but 3 persons, or let's call them "manifestations" of one and the same God, according to what purpose was and is to be served. They are present already in the Torah, which can be easily verified. But you are right in stating that not everyone accepts this truth.

Actually Yeshua is discussed in the Bavli Talmud, in Sahedrin 98a I think. He was the messiah since he was annointed, not because he can rebuild temples and save people. Only god saves people.

As long as you don't believe, or otherwise put, as long as you don't accept the reality of what God has done for mankind in the Person of Jesus, the anointed one as rgklein21 calls Him correctly, then there is no atonement for you. It's not granted automatically, it requires belief, acceptance. Now, because God loves you, all you have to do is pray for belief, and He will grant it to you, with eternal life.

The same goes for the christian Trinity, who are not 3 Gods, but 3 persons, or let's call them "manifestations" of one and the same God, according to what purpose was and is to be served. They are present already in the Torah, which can be easily verified. But you are right in stating that not everyone accepts this truth.

Im not sure about that... in Islam Torah is nothing worth anymore and God isnt a father/mother. In early christianity were two groups: one who followed jesus-brothers and peter (still followed jewish tradition and even rabbinic interpretations) and one who followed paul and barnabas (who said by accepting jesus it wouldnt be necessary to adhere to the holiness code or jewish feasts) .. but the problem is as you say: the man on a stick (jesus himself as appearance of god)

The Jewish Christians went extinct because of the non-Jews as they applied their own laws to the religion. And as i said, there were two factions: the Pauline Christianity and the Jewish one.
Neither Christianity nor Islam is good for a traditional Jew who accepts Torah (both written and the oral one).

If Rambam would've known about pre-islamic arabia he would criticize it as i do today. Ask yourself: why did the Israelites start to speak of Ashera as a wife to haShem? Because of El. El was a canaanite god, not the same as haShem. So was Allah the arabic version of El. Muhammad only repackaged his old pagan religion by saying: "Allah is haShem" - which isnt true.

I dont think that you've studied anything .. especially on an university. Abraham took the blessing but he still continued to believe in his own god called YHWH whom he maybe compared to El or better said: identified with El. He didnt share the view of the Canaanites, he didnt accept Ashera as the wife of YHWH. It was only later adopted by Israelites who got paganised. YHWH is El (Elyon) but he isnt El of Canaan. Thats it.

The scripture also quotes Abraham using the tetragrammaton and an actual interpretation of Exodus 6:3 makes it clear that 'revelation' as El Shaddai differs from a revelation as 'YHWH'.

I do believe in this priesthood, but its not pagan like the canaanite perception of El and it is of lesser value. For YHWH chose the sons of Aaron. First of all: its not a 'book' but an epistle. The pharisees adhered to the 'traditions of the elders' .. and superseded by these interpretations the literal meaning of the mosaic law - thats what Jesus criticised.
