My math class has the loose leaf books too. I LOVE them because you can just take chapters out rather than bringing a huge book. I am taking 4 classes and I wish all my books were like that. I can only pray my statistics book is also like that in the Spring. Thank you for the video. This was so me. I am super color coded and all that. Perfectionist.

This was a helpful video, my Binder is usually a mess with papers scattered all over, and when it comes to looking for papers for Exams, I have to look for almost 1 hr in my binder until i find it or less.

Even though I'm in college, this video was a lot of help to get my binder organized.

I'm not trying needle you. But if you look at all of the stuff you buy and the other tutorials of people who buy way more tha they need I think it all can be distracting from your studies. A lot of it is common sense as you probably know. I got my BA and half of my masters (I dropped out, couldn't afford it) with one 5 subjet notebook and at most 2 folders. That's it. I was able to concentrate more. Students are being taken advantage of by the School Supply Industry

@busybuzzbuzz I only use 2 binders per semester. 1 binder for my chemistry and the other binder for everything else. And I have used everything I bought- I'm a student who works like crazy at a fast food restaurant, while paying for my own tuition and books. I wouldn't buy something I didn't need. And a lot of the pens and pencils- I already owned.

@busybuzzbuzz If you are referring to the psychology- one binder had my book in it. The other 2 were notes and whatever chapters I needed. It was later condensed into 1 binder for the book and 1 for the notes.

I think it's a good idea to use filler paper for notes and put it in your binder. That way you don't need to worry about extra notebooks. Plus it's way cheaper to buy filler paper in bul, Then you can empty the binder at the end of the year and start all over again the next year

Do you take notes with the paper in the binder or transfer the paper afterwards?

I never done that, I also have pages of what we will go through throughout the course, and which chapters i am supposed to read, But I barely read them, I would like to, but sometimes I just don't know which ones to read. But I am going to print them out, and highlight them off, i like that tip. You noticed in your hisotry you highlight certain keywords... I think you might enjoy mind maps, they take out a lot of padding in notes, you should check them out.

I think its great that you take your school work so seriously. Just a tip on history homework. As a history major, I find it easier to understand and stay focused on my lesson if I imagine myself living in that time period. It makes it more interesting and gives you some perspective on what you are studying. :)

to me- it depends on how many classes you have and how many notes/handouts the class has. one of my classes requires that i have a separate binder for my materials. so it all depends :)
