after entering my beta key I get one reboot to fast boot and then the command prompt tells me "Communications with phone unexpectedly interrupted" I think its because my computer loses connection when the phone reboots.....What did I do wrong? or is there a work around this?

Thanks Man, everything was ok, now a few thing i did that you might or didn't mention are

1 you said to check off the debug, It has to be check on

2. it need to select storage or mount sd card, in order to get the adb devices number

if you put the phone in just charge mode you won't get any thing on the cdm pront

3 I also rename the folder wrootevo3d so i can follow the video.

@maxs476 you can use 4share.com and you look up the name of the app example ... spb 3d shell... and you put in spb shell 3d apk.. on your 4share app and if they have the app you can download it.. no root needed

Max, You are the BEST!!!! I was able to recover my phone after using a utiltiy that will allow you to remove Sprint Bloatware... only problem is that the phone would could not receive signal from the CDMA network and could only access WiFi connections. I used your method after 6 hours of trying to recover. I flashed OTXE Titan HD New Beats ROM and it is amazing! Everything works except Visual Voicemail since my Evo 3D has been flashed to Boost Mobile..

Question - I got right to the end flawlessly (thanks!) and got the same error message you did about the zip file. My phone didn't reboot though and give me the "connecting to network" like yours did, held down the power button but didn't turn the phone off so took battery out, everything still works but how do I confirm that I've rooted my phone -- I want to remove apps and I can't remove any pre-installed ones. Great tutorial, works very well, no issues and no hassles. A not to some people though however that your hboot version can be ANYTHINg below 5. It doesn't have to be 4.0000 like zedo's.

Thank You, I followed your instructions and it worked. Couple of hiccups, where it was waiting for the automatic fastboot, so I had to manually do it myself and it picked up the rest. Also, If you are going to install wifi tether on the HTC EVO 3D get the latest BETA, the 2.07 version doesn't work with EVO 3D. I installed the 3.1 BETA6 of wifi tether and it worked (typing on it now). thank you!

Hey, I think you need to warn people about the dangers of rooting your phone this way, revultionary is really unstable and it gives a LOT of errors. My opinion don't do it till you have a greater change getting no errors. Also htc has a own rooting methode. My htc evo 3d won't work anymore because of this.

On your full guide there's an typo ruining one of the commands

Next open up a command prompt by typing “cmd” under Start->Search, then browse to your rootevo3d folder by typing:

cd \rootevo 3d

For this to work the command should be cd \rootevo3d without the space
