you dont need to be a school of thaught to derive rulings from Quran or Hadith

any Mujtahid can do ijtihad on issues that are not clear cut

there are other guidlines that i will not go into here;

on top of this focus on the message

the call for khilafah is on the roll, and the attacks keep coming

on the last day we will b asked what we did

and what will we say? while some brothers/sisters were earning stations in jannah we were busy debating the ruling on music?

@showingthelight well i am not farmilliar with that hadith, and i dont listen to music either.

however there are not only 4 fukaha. in the time of imaam shafi thee were over 150 madhabs. its just that only 4 of them stood the test of time. and many of the smaller ones later accepted the opinions of the 4 major madhabs. i am not making a mockery of the deen, you just need to study the deriving of rulings and then you will see who can derive the rulings. i am not saying that am a scholar of fiqh or that i am able to derive rulings, so i dont get what that commet about living in the jahiliyyah of uk has to do with anything.

you havnt looked into the usool of fiqh, when you do you will then find that its not only 4 people in our history who have been able to derive rulings of fiqh.

the aargument for if music is not allowed is quiet authentic. However these brothers hopefully have a good intention. So if you don't want to listen to it then u shuldnt. H|Owever suggestions help. bcause in their last album they said 'if its halal then were howling it but if it isn't then we're lowing it'. Lets try not to undermine each other. And do what we all have to do. Spread the word of Allah.

says who? Most Orthodox Sunni Scholars Agree its permissible to Listen to Music as long as it does not Advocate Haram Acts or beliefs.

Shiekh Yusuf Al Qaradawi,ibn al arabi,al ghazali ect ect Say its halal..

and Remember most Sufis (which are orthodox sunnis) agree its HALAL..

but the Salafi/Wahhabi Cult Says its haram..

so the point is that most Orthodox Sunnis Agree its halal inshAllaah i made my point Clear.

the hadith is Fabricated and the Verse from the Kuran has been Explained my numerous Scholars :)
